ANC Nov Board & M5 ID

Published

I wanted to start a thread for all of the people who are waiting for the November ANC selection board, specifically if you have/waiting on the M5 identifier for Emergency Nursing. I thought we could suffer together and update each other while we wait. You are welcome to post if you have another specialty or none at all.

My status:

I have submitted all documents, and waiting on M5 identifier approval, physical approval and for the packet to make it past QA.

Not Selected....GPA wasn't high enough from when I completed my ADN in 1997. GPA from this semester of the RN to BSN do not get posted until Decmeber, so they couldn't look at that. There were more applicants than slots and even with all of my years of experience, they weeded my packet out based on GPA. Maybe next year...then again, maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Good luck to everyone.

I am so sorry. :( Please try again!! Ugh, I'm tempted to call my recruiter, but at the same time, I don't want to! Arrghh.

I called ... no news for me yet, I'm still "pending." Eeeeeeeeep.

Stardogdaisy, I am sorry to hear you were not selected. I am sure it is a let down, remember the Good Lord does have a plan for each of us, sometimes it doesnt make sense but one day it will!

Has ANYONE else heard? I called our recruiter and she states she wasnt aware of ANYONE getting results back thus far, I said one person on here had mentioned they were not selected....I am just getting FRUSTRATED! Patience is NOT something I was equipped with at birth nor have I developed the quality :)

just talked to my recruiter, he said only the ANCP results are in...

Perhaps I am ignorant, I apologize if I am---is the ANCP for new grads or who does that cover?

I think it's those who haven't graduated with the BSN yet, but who have a BSN in progress:

My recruiter stated that there were more applicants than slots for active duty, but that the results for those have not been released yet. Reserve Duty slots have not been filled yet, but ANCP and active are filled for fiscal year 11. Maybe next year. Thank you for all of your words of encouragement.:redpinkhe There must be a different plan for me. Only time will tell.

de-lurking to respond to you.... i know you are disappointed at this time and so take the time to grieve!!! once you have had time to grieve and think, accept a second chance to compete again, if offered.

i heard that there is a 3.2 or 3.3 cut off this year, but i thought it only included the bsn programs.... (my recruiter told me this a few months ago... we will see what the cut off ends up being with the selection). how far are you away from graduating? the more semesters you have to improve your gpa, the better.... who knows when the next boards will meet...? this may give you a chance to recover and apply with me. gl! ;)
