okay you guys....everyone that is taking anatomy this summer post away here

hehe this is going to be an interesting summer

any sites will be greatly appreciated lol :chair:

I have finished A & P 2!!!:monkeydance: And I made an A!!!! I can not tell you how happy I am! Last week I had no doubt I was going to get an A, but then finals came along...:uhoh3: My teacher was awful and had a very thick accent so I couldn't understand her lectures and had to pretty much do self teaching. She was often highly confused herself and only confused us more. I had all A's on the first 4 tests. Then she decided to squeeze in another lab test last minute (we had already had one lab test, I've never had a science class where we had 2 lab exams!) Even worse, she scheduled the lab exam and the final ON THE SAME DAY!!!! :trout: Yes we had 2 major exams one after the other! So I made C's on both, just too stressed and frazzled to be able to remember anything (not to mention had just taken my microbiology final also and have major test anxiety) So I left class, crying, sure that I had ruined all chances of ever becoming a nurse. But then today I checked my school account to see what rooms my summer 2 classes were in and there it was, a bright gleaming A!!!! Sorry to ramble on, but I was so sure I ruined it and so mad that I had busted my butt and couldn't even get an A. I was just feeling so stupid and down on life so this really cheered me up! I am so glad I will never have to take this class ever again! And I actually learned! Good luck to those of you still finishing up and putting your sweat, blood, and tears into it! :lol2:

On Monday we have our 4th lecture exam on Digestive system, Reproduction, Growth and development. i got an A on the last 2 test and a B on the first 2 tests. Our instructor Dr Ben, informed us that Monday we could make note cards, as many as we want for the digestive, reproduction,Growth and development chapters, and use them for the exam. I was surprised cause he usually is not so lenient. So with this added bonus i should get an A, and i know i will get an A on th next lab practicum and then the last Lecture test this coming Thursday(last day of A&PII) i hope to get an A and then i will have an A for this class. I'm excited cause i got a B in A&p I and this is my chance to make up for it.

Gratz to all who have already finished their Anatomy course! It's tough but once you are done you never have to do it again! :) We have two more weeks to go in my class. I am one of only 4 people pulling an A right now. The teacher says that he curves up at the end of class however. That's good becuase looking at the Respiratory and Digestive system and what he wants us to know..... I"m just not sure I can get an A on this next test. I want an A in the class. Got a B in A&P1.

I mentioned to the open Bio Lab teacher that I was planning on taking Microbiology next summer and he laughed. He said it was a lot of material to learn in a summer session.

My A&P2 teacher says that his summer students do better and get better grades. Usually only the best students sign up for summer classes and they are dedicated. Last sumer a girl in my A&P1 class was also taking Statistics and got an A in both classes. It's doable.

A&PII is over for me this Thursday, I cannot believe i got through this last 10 weeks with good grades. I have been out of high school for so long, and this just gives me the confidence i need to succeed in my nursing program next month. Congrats to everyone else who successfully got through A&P this summer, we deserve to relax.

But unfortunately i can't relax i signed up for Micro that starts the Monday after this Monday(7/17) 3 days after A&PII. So i got 5 more weeks of sleepless studying nights. has anyone taken Micro yet? Would you say it is more or less, or about the same difficulty as A&P? well which me luck

Congrats on your A!

I start my A&P II summer class next week. For some reason, I am not looking forward to it like I did my A&P I class...

I took Micro with A & P 2 in the 5 week course. :uhoh3: I actually thought micro was easier, but I had an awesome teacher. She didn't really use the book. She had printed her own "book" of notes that were sold in the bookstore and she also helped write our lab manual so we knew exactly what she wanted to test over. I felt like she cut out the "crap" and got down to it and taught us the stuff that we really needed to know and the concepts that would help us in our future of nursing. I really learned in her class. I actually ended up really liking micro when I didn't think I would. I found it to be easier.

I am so happy for you! You got an A!

Ok peeps. I have one week to go with A&P and it looks like I have my A no problem. How is everyone else doing?

Does anyone know of any good A&p computer programs out there because i will be takeing A&P 1 this winter .

The McGraw Hill Anatomy & Physiology Revealed CD set is really helpful for anatomy, and the MediaPhys CD is useful for physiology (however mine covers much more A&P II systems than A&P I).

Best of luck. How long are your winter semesters, because at the schools around me they are only a few weeks long, not really long enough IMHO to cover A&P I's material thoroughly.
