I'm taking A&P I online this summer. I'm 1/4 done! I've finished these sections: Into A&P, Integumentary, Skeletal Intro, and Axial Bones. So far I have a 96% in the class. This class does keep you (((very busy))).

I began Anatomy yesterday! The last class is July 31st so it is a quick one. Even though I go to class Mon-Thurs., it feels as if I am going to be doing an independent study. Great % by the way. Too soon to have any grade yet. Good luck to all who do the Anatomy class in the summer!

Hiya!
I'm taking an 8-week anatomy course this summer. We've had one practicum on bones so far that most of my class got As on!
Our first lecture exam is tomorrow and I'm trying not to stress too much. Best of luck to the rest of you. I'll let you know how it goes...

I'm taking A & P 2 in the 5 week course! (Not to mention microbiology in 5 week course as well...yes I have temporarily lost my mind!) I have a great instructor for microbiology so that class is going great. Tests are straight out of her notes (that she gives you already printed, just study) so there is no guesswork involved! I like that! My A & P 2 instructor on the other hand has a very thick accent and is hard to understand. But thanks to the internet and multitudes of information out there I think I'll be okay. I printed about 200 pages of stuff on the endocrine system alone this morning and am understanding it much better now! (Can even fill in the self tests successfully!) I am absolutely determined to make A's in both of these classes. It just takes a bit of determination (and lots of Starbucks!) But I'll let you guys know how it went in 5 weeks! First test for both classes on Monday!
My first test is Monday, as well. It will be over three chapters....1, which is terms and overview, 4 which is tissues and 5 which is integumentary. Tuesday, oral test over the scalp and we have not even looked at that yet! Good luck to you!

In A&P1 right now, have 102.5 average after 2 tests. My prof. is great(he's a VMD) the lab is ok, dissected cats today, and my cat had worms in the stomach, s.intestine and l. intestine:barf02: I almost lost it. We have our 3rd test next week. If I can hold on to the A, I will not have to take the final. Wish me luck!
Ugh. I have my exam tomorrow on the Axial skeleton. I get a box with 40 bones it in, and I have to identify the bones and list their landmarks. Ugh. This may bust my 96% in the class.
p.s. cat worms w/dissection. BLECH!
I just got home from my 4th day. We have only had 10 points so far and when I got my lab report back, he gave me an 8! I am so bummed. I argued with him on one question but he is about 150 years old and has never taught before, much less taught anatomy. He was a scientist of some sort but if you have a question on anything, he knows nothing. It may as well be an Internet course because there really is no one to turn to if you have a question. I can drop the class tomorrow for 100% refund but I would like to take the first test on Monday to see how that goes. Half of the people in this class are taking it over because they flunked it before with another instructor so maybe he isn't so bad. I heard him tell someone that he came out of retirement to teach so he could save some money to go to Europe.

Let me say this if you will. Anatomy is hard, it doesnt matter who you have, just hang in there and get through it. I had the hardest instructor for lab I could of had and I passed with a B. It sounds like maybe you had a "TBA" teacher and they threw someone in to fill the spot. Try your best and get it over with. Maybe if he knows nothing it is better than someone like I had who floods you with so much technical information you can not possibly absorb it all. Good Luck.
Its not the bones that are hard, its the markings that I had trouble with. I was given a list with 102 bones I had to know, I knew 95 of them but when I got to the practical, there was only 25 on the test. I wont tell you how upset I was when I knew alot more than what was on there. You will do fine.

I took the first exam test today for my 4 week A&P1 course. It covered chapters 1 & 2. I made a 92 on the test, but am happy with my grade because there were only 4 A's and 1 B . Most of the grades were D's and F's. I just hope I can keep my average up because I must have a C (75) to start the ADN program in the fall.
