So Im looking to take Anatomy and Physiology online, anyone know a good online college or college around the Antelope Valley?? Any suggestions would be great!
I am registered for an online a&p 1 this semester through Cayuga Community College. Both the lecture and lab are online. The ABSN programs I am interested stated they accept online courses; also my transcript will not indicate that the course is conducted online. That being said, if I had a choice I would take science course on campus even though I love online courses and thrive in them. I work full time and have a family so I have to do what works for me. You need to do what works for you
My A&P and Micro classes are both hybrids this semester. I took A&P1 as a hybrid and love the setup! I go to lab once a week for two hours and then the rest is online. I have powerpoints for both classes so I download them to my iPad and take them to work to read during breaks and lunch. I love online classes, but none of the colleges around here offer exclusively online science courses. I don't think I would enjoy doing labs at home by myself.
I am enrolled in a completely online A&P class this semester. I THRIVE with online. I tend to zone out and turn into a space cadet in real school so having the ability to pause and work at my own pace especially with 2 children is a huge advantage for me. The lab is also online and is provided from adameducation.com and I had to pay a pretty penny to get into it so I'm hoping its good. I've been in the medical field my whole career though as a lab tech so human anatomy and science isn't foreign to me.
If you thrive at online school, what is going to happen when you get to nursing school and you have to stay in class all day some days? I am wondering how that will impact you since you become a "space cadet" when you have to physically be in class.

I love online classes. In fact, I was excited when I found out about A&P being offered online at my school until I found out from my A&P professor that over half of the students fail the class. He is so against A&P being offered online that he has actually voiced his concern to the Dean. Keep in mind that many professional schools will not accept an online science class. My suggestion? Take it on campus in a live classroom. I thrive in online classes but not science or math ones. You know your abilities so best of luck in whatever you decide.
