How hard was BIO 205 hybrid at Phoenix College?
I loved her as well. You have to work for your grade but she works crazy hard to get you there!

Anyone taking summer classes?
If you are taking them at PCC PM me for some advice on math instructors!
-
How many pre-req classes
My program requires 13, that's if you start at College Algebra 121 and don't require Bio156.

My understanding is they take only pre-reqs into consideration for acceptance and scholarship. Summer classes as long as they are not being retaken and are a required course count toward scholarship GPA.

Arizona Nursing Student- fish out of water
Right now the new grad BSN market in the Phoenix is highly competitive . Take ANY job you can get. I've heard Chamberlain doesn't have the greatest reputation in terms of their graduates being placed . Just apply everywhere and eventually work into where you want to be.

Prereqs Help (Microbio/A&P)
I think you'll be fine if you are determined. I believe there is no reason to baby yourself through pre-reqs and then be crazy shocked when you get into nursing school. Learn how to handle the stress and tone management now.

It was difficult. I could have passed but I really want to keep my transcript free of anything but A's and B's. I am in stats right now and it's so simple with my professor, he skips all the math and focuses on the psychology portion of the course.

I was taking chemistry this semester online but dropped it so I'll be doing it this summer in person . I'm also retaking 202 because I don't remember anything and I want it to be fresh!

Has anyone taken BIO 205 at phoenix college in the summer?
Micro is not easy, it requires work and effort. I live micro but given your obsession with finding something easy I don't think any program will be "easy". When people talk about if being easy it's because they made it easy for themselves by being a good student.

One thing I learned today is that honesty will get you nowhere in Nursing School.
I didn't read all the replies but here is my opinion. It's okay to make a mistake but instead of learning to have a back up plan, go to bed at a reasonable time or anything else you take not being honest as what was learned? In some profession being irresponsible and sleeping in late can be life or death. You deserved a 0 and should have learned to not do it again. My husband is an officer. If he is late once he's put on probation, twice and he's fired. It's because him not being there may be life or death if back up is needed. Same with the nursing profession in some setting. Your instructor is prepping you for the real world which you obviously need a big dose of reality.

Gaining weight in nursing school
I have the opposite problem. I get stressed and forget to eat, don't sleep and end up losing so much weight I look unhealthy.

Patients who want to be admitted for minor things
The problem is the guy didn't have a fracture, he had some ankle pain . If everybody with a pain is able to be admitted there wouldn't be enough rooms or staff to care for those who are truly injured or I'll.

My instructor was great about replying right away when I had problems. Just put time into the essays and you'll do great!

Sorry, I shouldn't post while the kids are playing on me. Once you get a few weeks into the course a few entire week are just basic review of 202 and micro .
