Several had mentioned starting a study thread early so we could get prepared for our fall A&P class, so here goes. I have gathered several websites from both here and on my own, so wanted to post them early on so that we wouldn't have to search for them. Please feel free to add to them and also any advice or study tactics that seem to work for you.
Thankyou to Eveyone here at AllNurses who have provided so much information in one spot.

Ok, that's it for tonight....I have several others but hopefully this will keep everyone busy for a day or 2 :chuckle:yeah:I'm sure we all have diferent study habits and will need to find our own way there but I am hoping we can work together as a study team.
Maybe each day or two, someone could provide a study tip or an mneumonics for memorization for tissues or nerves, anything that is helping you learn. Or if you come accross somethin that you can't use, maybe someone else can.
OFF to Bed for me
It may take me a few days...would have to dig things up. Are you using Marieb? You have to promise to take your own notes though!!!! And to take mine with a grain of salt...I have not proofed them for correctness, they were what I deemed to be correct at the time...so you can take that for what it's worth!
of course! our professor gives us his notes, too, so we can add to his instead of writing the whole lecture...but it always helps to look at the way someone else sees it.
I found the notes. We had our 2nd lecture test last night. One person correctly got 57 out 65 right and the rest was 48-34. I am definitely doing something wrong. I wish I saw these before yesterday. Thanks, this does give me a better idea of how I should be organizing my notes. I have not being doing this, only reading, highlighting and making note cards. I did record my notes today so i will let you all know how that worked.
Can You Give Me Some Study Tiips. I Am So Overwhelmed.
I was getting so overwhelmed too...and we just had our first lecture exam yesterday and lab practical today. Over tissues, mitosis, anatomical landmarks and directions, etc. I did very well on the lab and got a B on the lecture...
Our teacher puts up a podcast of each lecture which REALLY helps, so if yours doesn't I would suggest getting a recorder (they are like $30 at walmart) to tape the lecture. Flash cards are a GREAT tool. Just quizzing yourself every day over material really helps. Luckily our school provides an outlines notebook that we transfer notes into that way we aren't stuck reading a chapter and getting super confused!
Anyone's class using Saladin's book for lecture?
Thanks to everyone who has supplied helpful links for studying purposes, that will come in handy.
I took Bio 201 during the summer, which was an accelerated 8 week program, and I took online only. So I will have to go back and review the information. I'm taking 202 now, also online but at a regular pace. I just started a study group with another student who is taking 201/202 in one semester, so we're not studying the same information at the same time. Any suggestions on how to go about a study group with her? We have an anatomy coloring book, flashcards, and the same AP book. Thanks!
