So I received my acceptance letter, and total, I will be out about $12000 for my BSN through them.
I feel that this will be the best route for me, and is by far a cheaper route.
On top of that, I don't have to take ANY classes other than the BSN classes that I need. That's right, no additional Gen Eds, no statistics and no unneeded classes.
I am really excited, and will be starting April 1! :)

i was looking at this school as well. did they tell you how long it will take to finish? and if i wanted to get a masters degree in the future would they take transfer credits from this school? thanks!! :)
Yes and Yes!
It will take approximately 10 months to finish my degree, and many other schools will take transfer credits. I have already asked and looked into it. They are regionally accredited and are accredited by CCNE, and that was a big selling point for me.

Thanks for the info, will have to keep this in mind when i go for my BSN in the future...how long are the semesters/quarters? I know Ohio University they are 5 wk, one class at a time...how does AS work?
8 week terms, so two terms in a semester.
I will be done in February 2012.

SweettartRN do you have to submit your transcripts to them or just your nursing license, because when I went online it seems as if they give you the 30 credits for being a RN and then you have to just complete the BSN required classes. WGU wants me to take more classes because I have an AAS instead of ASN, so I am still shopping around and this seems interesting. Any advice is appreciated.
BTW CONGRATSSSSS!!!!

sweettartrn,
so how many credits you will have total if they don't have any pre-reqs? asu gives you 30 credits for your rn license + 30 credits for the bsn core classes. that's 60 credits. where's the other 60?
i am considering asu as well but i am hesitant a little bit because they are not regionally accredited. they are nationally accredited (detc) but will other schools accept it if you want to do master's later like np?
thanks,
angel

angel i spoke to an enrollment counselor earlier and she stated that they give you 60 credits for your degree and another 30 for your rn license leaving you with 30 credit hours. it sounds good so far but i am also checking on the regional accreditation.

I have two associates degrees, by Business Management and ASN.
ASU will take them, and they have placed me right into the BSN program, with no other classes needed.
They are fully accredited with the CCNE.
hi angel, see what tiffany wrote above.
:)
i just got off the phone with them about the regional accreditation. they are currently in the process of acquiring this and have been for a couple of years.
i want to transfer to frontier and they will accept asu, and that was my biggest concern. i will end up needing to take a stats class to enroll there, but that should be no problem.
