American Sentinel University it is!

So I received my acceptance letter, and total, I will be out about $12000 for my BSN through them.

I feel that this will be the best route for me, and is by far a cheaper route.

On top of that, I don't have to take ANY classes other than the BSN classes that I need. That's right, no additional Gen Eds, no statistics and no unneeded classes.

I am really excited, and will be starting April 1! :)

I really like the program

I failed to mention I am in the SimPath program. I love working at my own pace. ?

Any updates on how the SimPath program is going?
Any issues, quirks - anything unexpected?
Also, are there any mandatory videos (if so, what's required - how long)?

Thank you for all of the insight!

The SimPath program is very good. There are 73 components that have to be completed for the program. I finished in one term. It requires dedication to finish in one term. I worked on assignments 12 hours each day when I was not working. There are no mandatory videos. You can show competency in several ways - video, ppt / prezi, infograph, podcast, or writing a paper. Make sure you follow the rubric. I did not have any issues. Instructors and advisors responded within 24 hours when I had questions.

Thank you. This is valuable info for me, personally.
Another question though – Do you know how the SimPath credits transfer as far as GPA is concerned (max of 3.0   or is 4.0 attainable)?

They use a grading scale. It is not a pass or fail program therefore you will have a GPA.

Another question, sorry.

Was it necessary to purchase the books for the SimPath program? How helpful were the books (if purchased and used for the courses)?

I rented or purchased a pdf of the books.

Thankfully, I have thick skin so other's opinions cease to bother me LOL. Just finished my first class and wasn't that different from the competitive program for my BSN at UIC. It was ALOT of work, alot of studying and many late nights like any other class I've taken and my degree will cost at least 1/2 what most other programs cost. You get out of it what you put in. To each his own. Have a blessed day!

I know this is an old thread,  but im applying for UIC BSN for the fall of 2021. Any advice or questions that you were asked during your interview? just a fellow transfer student looking forward to getting accepted!
