Self talk can be a nuisance...
I still want to know why Democrats aren't red?
Mayhaps this has naught to do w/ the current puzzlement about red ties; it certainly isn't an answer, however, you know what a nuisance the brain can be sometimes (as in A runaway mind is a terrible thing to chase). In order to temporarily banish that annoying perseverance not unlike the needle skipping and catching on the scratch in the groove, I am hereby dumping this catch-phrase into somebody else's mind:
"Better Red than Dead!"
There were many other quotes built around the various definitions of the words "red" and "tie": they ripped through my thoughts, piling up to a horrendous height, threatening an avalanche, however, I decided to take pity on you'n's and mahse'f and end this post NOW.

Because we are True Blue.
Because we are like the vast oceans that surround our planet and allow life to exist.
Because:
BLUE. Intellectual.
Positive: Intelligence, communication, trust, efficiency, serenity, duty, logic, coolness, reflection, calm.
Negative: Coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness.
Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Strong blues will stimulate clear thought and lighter, soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration. Consequently it is serene and mentally calming. It is the colour of clear communication.
