Hi Rittu
Was that request for I-140 petition? or I-485? If I-140, yes, they will proceed it, there is no line for I-140. As for I-485, what is your case status says exactly?
Thank you for sharing.

I had a question for you regarding adjustment of status. My friend had a tourist visa and he is a nurse and then he left Philippines last March 2005. He filed for his AOS last year but it was denied. Now his attorney filed again for AOS this September but still pending. He said to me that he cannot work as a nurse and work only in home care but it was under the table. He told me that he is being deported and will be heading home this coming january and will process his papers here in the Philippines instead in US. I was wondering why his AOS was denied and for the sake of processing he will be back here and wait. Is there any chance that his second AOS will be denied again? What if he's being deported he will be able to go back again in US with out any problem.
Thank you guys
i forgot to include his tourist visa is single entry.

depends why he was denied AOS and by the sounds of it at the moment is working illegally by your comment under the table. If he is deported I should image it will have an impact on future applications as he will have to declare any failings. A lot who filed in Sept for AOS I believe have already been sorted although they may have delay because of the first denial
yap he is working illegally. I dont know why he is being deported. I think his tourist visa expired last year and he extended for another few months and again his extension already expired too..thank you silverdragon :)
