Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

U.S.A. Florida

Hey everybody!

I just wanted to start a separate thread regarding our acceptance into the FSCJ (a.k.a. FCCJ) Summer 2010 "RN" program. I know we've all been posting to the "hopefuls" page but now that we aren't "hopefuls" anymore, and we're more like "stressfuls"... I thought I'd start a new page... JOIN ME! :)

I guess it is technically called something else other than "RN program" but... here we go anyway.

I'm still a bit confused as to whether, during orientation, I should be more focused on getting a hospital close to my house or a teacher that will be great during my first term.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this? I've always made the teacher my first priority but I'm curious as to whether or not, those of you who have been there, think that there is a big enough difference in teachers that we would be wise to drive for miles to get to a specific one.

Normally, at orientation they have boxes of uniforms being handed down from the graduating students and you "pay" what you can afford. The catch is, this terms graduating class still has FCCJ patches. You would have to get an FSCJ patch and replace the other patch.

Home from orientation...

I got Section 4 (my first choice, yea!)

posted on the other topic saying im in section 6

My first choice.

Just registered for my classes.... a whopping $1212 later...

Yep. That's the total tuition for all 4 classes.

I think I'm just going to wait to turn in my titers (results) until the boxes of books come in. If I have to run my sorry butt all the way up to North campus 4 days a week for 16 weeks, I'm going to kill two birds with one stone now.

I am totally bummed out right now. I got in for nights/weekends (and out of county, no less!) thinking that the classes would be in Deerwood. Then, at orientation today, it was announced that the N/W classes would be held on North Campus! So I had to turn in my letter of declination and hope that I will be accepted for N/W fall term :crying2:

There seemed to be SO many people in your boat. They seemed to act as though it shouldn't matter which campus the n/w would be held but to so many people deciding between programs (and at different schools) this is a pretty big deal! Fortunately for me I wanted days... but I did contemplate n/w because of Deerwood... so glad I opted for days or I would be fuming!!

I'm so sorry that happened to you.

Sorry about that Marina. I also chose nights/weekends because it was at Deerwood, so I am really disappointed. I am going to stay though. I'm sure you'll get in next semester.

Misti, Jennifer, Heather, Angela, Debbie, it was great to see/meet you all. :)

Wow Marina,

I know what a tough decision that was. I was crushed when I realized I had to drop last term. Take what you have learned and see if you can get some of the books. Read, read, read and prepare.

Best wishes!

Jennifer

I guess everybody has to pay 1212 since thats what I have to pay.
