ABSN Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM) Spring 2020

Just summited my application for the ABSN program at San Marcos for Spring 2020 last night! Thought I'd get a forum started for others who are applying as well instead of stalking all of the old forums. I took the TEAS a few days ago & am just waiting on some final transcripts to be sent to CSUSM.

I further stalked the message boards and 3 years ago they found out in August only two weeks after submitting their applications! I emailed my advisor on Monday and she said that they are hoping to get the first round of offers out by the end of September....so I take that as we probably won't hear back this week, but maybe next week? Or even the week after? I'm trying to not think about it.

I've been checking everyday. I wonder why it takes longer some semesters.

I’m so disappointed too, I’ve been waiting for this day for so long. But I would think as the program grows in popularity they probably get more and more applicants each year so it takes longer?

The quickest way to find out is thru MyCSUSM. They send emails out but its a few days after the status is updated on your account.

I will be in a hot mess if we don’t hear back by the end of next week (October 4th)

I wish they would give us a date so we aren’t waiting anxiously for weeks

Hi! I submitted my application in mid-July (was a little late deciding on a program) and I finally got my point evaluation today. I talked with an advisor and it sounded like maybe there were some transcript issues. Some other people I know applying to the program heard back super late because their transcripts were messed up somehow. Since the application deadline wasn’t until August, I have a feeling there’s still people that haven’t gotten an evaluation, which probably means they won’t start admitting people until October ?

I emailed the program on Sep 22nd and they said the first round of acceptances will go out “within a week or so”. Has anyone got a similar response ?

I was hoping for today too! It's the last day of the month andddd a Monday. We all have a lot of planning and prepping to do!
