ABSN Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM) Spring 2020

Just summited my application for the ABSN program at San Marcos for Spring 2020 last night! Thought I'd get a forum started for others who are applying as well instead of stalking all of the old forums. I took the TEAS a few days ago & am just waiting on some final transcripts to be sent to CSUSM.

Hi everyone. Just got my evaluation back and I got 39 points (I submitted my application in early July). Feeling happy and anxious, but mostly positive given previous admission statistics. Confident enough to bother doing my FAFSA, lol.

Did you all take the TEAS exam at a CSU San Marcos campus? Do you have to take it there? Or did some of you take it at a testing location and have your results sent to them?

you don’t have to take it there! I took mine in Murrieta. The application just had me submit the PDF of my test score

How do you know your application is now being considered for the Spring 2020 cohort? Did they send you some sort of confirmation?

Where are you all seeing your evaluations? I submitted my application in late June and it has said complete on the csusm portal since then. Just worried now that I didn't fill something our correctly.

I was emailed my evaluation.

In the table that shows that your application is complete it show which term you applied for. So, mine has two rows, one for Fall 2019 and one for Spring 2020. Fall 2019 says "student withdrew application" (I declined their admission offer for fall) and Spring 2020 says "completed application." Hope that helps.

I just called the extended learning admissions office to ask a few questions and they said we all should expect to hear back in October. Good luck everyone!

In the orientation session I went to, they said it is possible to keep working, as long as you are able to adjust your schedule for that semester's rotations (though I know the official response is don't work).

I'm planning on working next semester, since we'll just be taking regular classes (and it looks like there are a couple different sections of each class), but I'll probably stop after that. My work schedule isn't very flexible.
