  1. Hi! I graduate in May and I was curious to see how long after graduation you took your NCLEX. My mom is wanting to go on a vacation and I'm trying to see if there is time! Thank you
  2. I’m in a cohort out of San Marcos. But the last cohort that was supposed to be at Temecula was technically skipped due to Covid pushing most cohorts back a semester. I’m in my second semester! It’s been challenging being primarily online but still learning a ton.
  3. Sorry Amanda you were logged into my laptop on here and I accidentally was responding as you?
  4. Hey! Currently I have one clinical day this semester. We are going every other week and mine is actually in Riverside county, so there is a possibility to not have to go SD. That isn’t guaranteed though! I live in Temecula and commute to San Marcos once every other week for lab and it isn’t too bad either.
  5. That was my thought, the sooner I start the sooner I finish, so I’d rather just drive! So there is somewhat of a list but we were told recently not to get any more textbooks yet because they’re changing things up. So I would wait for now. Also don’t bother getting any of the ATI books. The program is no longer using ATI we’re switching to HESI and we don’t know the books needed for that yet. If you want a head start on nursing materials I recommend level up RN Youtube, Cathy parks Youtube, and the straight A nursing concepts boot camp (that opens July 14th and you have to pay but it’s not expensive) also check out nursing student videos on Youtube. They give tips, show you what their days are like, what supplies they like, shoes etc.
  6. Sorry I took so long. I prefer commuting because I enjoy driving and the lower cost of living. You’re not always driving down to school, so it’s not like a 5 day a week commute. Classes start early so you miss a lot of the traffic. It’s not guaranteed, but there is a potential to get clinical sites in RivCo so that is nice as well. I prefer going to the main campus, I know there are more events, study areas etc. clinical sites do change every semester so it’s possible to drive super far but that’s for anyone at either campus.
  7. They are but I heard it’s only open to people that applied for fall 2020 since fall is now the start date for everyone that was accepted for Summer 2020
  8. I live in Temecula too? so I just commute. I was super surprised too. Good luck!
  9. So I’m actually in the program (Spring 2020) I was just browsing the forum LOL. I had 40 points and got in in the most competitive semester they’ve ever had. I also have been told (don’t hold me to it) that Temecula campus is easier to get into because most people don’t want to drive that far from SD etc.
  10. You are assigned and no, you cannot switch with anyone. The only “choice” there really is is that you submit the zip code you live in each semester and they try to place you near where you live but that isn’t a guarantee at all either.
  11. 40 should absolutely be competitive enough!
  12. No it doesn’t. It only applies to those who have clinicals over Summer. 37 just needs to turn everything at the regular due date. They sent out a follow up message
  13. It’s super hard to see for some reason but it’s just the course sequence being shown pushed back for everyone.
  14. It’s community.csusm.edu you use your csusm log in info. I’m not sure about how it affects fall but everyone through Summer cohort has information. No problem(:
