The NJ legislature passed a bill mandating CNA to resident ratios in nursing homes. This bill, if passed would have been the first in the nation.
Presidential candidate Governor Chris Christie, has vetoed the bill.
Shame on you sir, for showing that you care so little about such a vulnerable population. To paraphrase Effie Trinket, "May the odds be NEVER in your favor!"

Nursing home staffing needs a total revamp nationwide JACHO does not oversee nursing homes Individual states do and it sucks big time - I am doing LTC Skilled right now and on any given shift will have 18 to 30 patients which includes an insane med pass, treatments, new admits etc... so my census may end up with close to 40 patients. IF I am a lucky my shift gets two CNAs and there is no consideration for the acuity of the patients. Having states in charge of this is like having them in charge of our drinking water.

Christie just came in sixth place with 8% in NH Rep. primary so he's not eligible for Saturday's S.C. debate. And he spent all of his time in NH. Bye bye jersey guy
