Oh man! I have test 4 tomorrow and I feel so unprepared! This one is going to be killer. I'm just having a hard time absorbing everything this time.

I made flash cards, and used over 200 for ONE chapter, and this test covers 3 different chapters.

Good luck to you. I hope you do well.

The mnemonic we were told is a little dirtier but it sticks in your mind: oh oh oh, to touch and feel valley girl's lady parts, so hot! (where the last S is for Spinal Accessory, some use an A instead).

Check out this site: http://www.gwc.maricopa.edu/class/bio201/ and click on the nervous system. The 2 interactive quizzes are very good, it's just repetition.

Also, if you have to memorize the functions, another mnemonic is:

Some say marry money but my brother says beware, better marry a millionaire

where

S=sensory

M=motor

B=both (or mixed, sensory and motor)

Good luck, that helps you a little. My quiz on this is tomorrow...last one!!

LOL ours were similar "oh oh oh, to touch and feel valley girl's lady parts, Ah Heaven!" And "Some say marry money but my brother says big boobs matter more":lol2:

LOL - those will help a lot with my lab final. I just hope that I don't say it out loud :D

The parts of the brain are really making me nervous for my lab final though.

The cranial Nerves are a Biznitch! that little sentence is funny. O'well. Who has cumulative lecture Finals?!!? ...... I do :-( My 4th Lab practical was our last test, so thats one less class to worry about.

Specializes in OR Internship starting in Jan!!.

We only have two tests in lab - the midterm and the final. The average of those two grades counts as 30% of our overall grade. In lecture, we have 4 tests plus the final, which is cumulative.

I'm not sure what happened, but I JUST realized that lab final is next week and lecture final is the week after. I am SO not ready, lol.

13 days left of this semester!! I better start studying!

I got an A in Lab!!! Kick A$$!!!!!

I got an A in lab too! My lecture final is next week. It is all about the muscular and nervous systems, which I don't really like. At least it's almost over!

Specializes in OR Internship starting in Jan!!.

My lab final covers muscular systems, nervous systems and special senses. The lecture test is cumulative, and we don't get any kind of study guide. I'm really starting to panic because if I don't get an A then I have to take this class again.

Gah!

Hello I recently signed on because I am contemplating nursing school again and I have decided to start in the pre-nursing area and advance as I advance in school. The quick history. Started nursing school...quit...finished with a exercise physiology degree.....got a masters...working now thinking about nursing school again. WHAT A CIRCLE. One thing I do know in my 31 years of life is I do feel I am making a difference when I am helping people who truly needs help. Enough of the history. So far I would like to thank the room for such great mind teasers. Thats how I use to study and it really helps. Sometimes the simplest thing win out. I am rambling on, but I am trying to CLEP out(just take the test without the class) of anatomy I & II to advance in the nursing program here at the hospital and I would like to thank everyone for the great resources and teasers. I will back soon to update everyone. Bye for now.

everybody getting ready for finals, or maybe even finished with them? who's taking what this summer? i've got my pharmacology final next week, which is over dosage calculations, and my a&p is the day before. but i think i got lucky - the final is going to be over our last two unit exams, and i made a 98 on both of them, so i feel like i can breathe a little easier! good luck, everybody!
