A&P 1 Spring 08

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi y'all! Anybody taking A&P 1 this coming spring semester? I'm trying to get as many pre-req's out of the way as possible and could use a study buddy or 2! Thanks! :)

The LAST 2 posts were what makes looking on this site worth while.

The psychological games of "look at me and my grades (from who knows where school)" and "I am so pitiful" are pretty much a waste of time (and what fills up most posts).

Thanks guys (in last 2 posts) for help making this site more educational!!

Thanks to everyone on the sticky who are so encouraging...not only is the site useful when needing help with the concepts, its also a great source of support when we don't do as well as we like...it seems that most nursing schools apply the pressure to get the high grades....i don't think anyone is here playing "psychological games" or "pity party"...i think people need support...sometimes it really does help, when someone says simply "hey you can do this"...so thanks to everyone!!!!

I'm assuming this was directed toward me, because the two posts above your post don't talk about grades.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, so I'll just leave it alone. If I feel compelled to talk about my grades on the internet, I'll do so. It's not like it violates TOS or anything.

There is something to be said for a sense of camaraderie and encouragement of others. I am sorry it seems worthless or threatening to you but it really is perfectly fine for people to share their grades AND to get help here. The students really bond together in nursing school and have to work together. Cheering one another on does nothing but fuel the energy that makes learning possible. Your post above, I note, does not contain anything helpful to anyone, either by cheering them on or posting academic resources for learning. :smokin: How are your classes going? Anything we can do to help you? Anything happen this week you are proud of that you'd enjoy sharing?

Oh...and I got a 104 on my lab quiz Monday night...highest grade in the class :) And I have a quiz tonight on the eyeball. Joy.

Next week is going to be a killer...we have a lab report due Monday, a quiz in lab Monday and our second exam in lecture on Monday. And then the lab practical is on Wednesday! Going to be a busy weekend studying!

gentlywind - nice going on that test!!!! i wish i could say the same...not doing as well as i hoped...but i will keep on trying...we have a lab exam next thursday, 150 bones to know...i'm okay with the bones, where i have difficulty is the depressions, processes etc...i think in hindsight (as i have been out of school a number of years) that a summer condensed course was not for me...ahhh..but we live and learn...do you have any recommendations for memorizing the fossa's/depressions? if so thanks!!

and again congrats!!!

don't know if you got that already or if it will help. good luck with it though. you can definitely do this.

I am taking AP now in the Fall 08. I decided not to go to summer classes because I needed a break, but I have been studying AP from some web sites to have a heads up in class. any advise about this class in regards to the material and is a tape recorder advisable?

I recorded every lecture and listened to it at least once afterward, and it was a huge help. I could concentrate more on what the teacher was lecturing on since I wasn't having to write every single word down. I was able to get more of the "big picture".

I used a tape recorder as well. It really helped out.

Hey guys I'm taking A&P I right now for Fall '08. I'm so nervous! I need to get a tape recorder and flash cards asap. This is probably a stupid question but did you guys read all of the assigned reading? I'm so scared about that. I looked at it and it seems like it is a foreign language.
