  1. I also purchased a digital recorder, and it has really helped out. I hook it up to my PC and go over my notes for the day while listening to the lecture to make sure I did not miss any important information. My note taking is still in progress. It also helps by not interrupting class, just to ask for info to be repeated. I highly recommend a digital recorder.
  2. Thank you so much for this site. I looked over it and found it to be very helpful, informative and the links are great. This will certainly help out this semester. I will give this info to my friends that will be in A&P I this fall. Again Thanks!
  3. I am also taking A&P I now in the fall. Repetition Repetition Repetition! I have purchased some flash cards (former student advised) and have been studying. I have also am very thankful for all the websites you have provided. I will tell other students in class about allnurses.com and how much info and help this site has provided. Thanks!
  4. So sorry to hear of your experience. It sounds like you handled the situation in a professional manner. I am also a CMA, and am now pursuing my nursing degree. I really loved my title and the experience has given me much knowledge, especially the decision to further my education. Although a LPN has more education under their belt, a CMA is an important and much needed in the medical field. many times senior citizens are reluctant to change and I believe this patient was just being her grumpy self. I am sure the LPN position you gained has had some confrontations with this patient before. I believe you had the right to feel that you were treated awful, but all in all the health care profession can make one at times feel unappreciated, it is the compassion for others that has led you to get an education in the medical field. Keep up the good work and be proud of what you have accomplished for yourself and remember that there will always be someone annoying, but there will be many that will appreciate your care. Again, I believe you handled this situation good and don't be discouraged.
  5. It is great to know that there are others in my age group. It wasn't until my stats class that i realized my age difference from other students (never really thought about it before) the professor was teaching us about outliers. She used all the students ages, did the calculations and thats when I realized my age was an outlier. I am so looking forward to completing NS... still have a little time to go... and having the career I have dreamed of. Congratulations.
  6. It is so great to know that there are many others in my age group that have gone back to collage to pursue a career of their choice, no matter their age. During statistics class we were learning about outliers. the professor used the ages of the students in class, and my age was considered an outlier... I was the oldest in class. It was then I realized what my age would be when I finally graduate NS. I am looking forward to my new career and future.
  7. I am taking AP now in the Fall 08. I decided not to go to summer classes because I needed a break, but I have been studying AP from some web sites to have a heads up in class. any advise about this class in regards to the material and is a tape recorder advisable?
