Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone,

I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread for A&P II. Does anyone know if there's a process to request a thread being made sticky?

Has anyone been getting a jump start on class by reading ahead? I found my Prof's powerpoint notes online, so I'm making some flash cards as well :)

Peace,

Cathie

Well my final is on Tuesday and I am feeling overwhelmed! I've got a solid A in the class, but the final is cumulative and worth 150 points. Looking back it's a lot of stuff. But I sure enjoyed A&P 2 a whole lot more than A&P 1. :)

Oh boy I wouldn't want to be in your shoes, oh wait yes I would I still have 4 more weeks I wish we were nearly done!

good luck on your final we are very lucky in that respect, our class has been very hard but the final is a breeze we are actually given the final at the beginning of the semester its 350 question study guide there will be 200 on the final but we have the actual answers and questions to study from. Its the rest of the 16 weeks that kills ya lol.

I have to agree about loving ap2 so much more, its where it all comes together, I am going to miss my class too we have a great teacher and a great group of students that have been together since last August.

Hey all~

Good luck to all of you that are completing A&PII. I just enrolled in A&PII for this summer. Unfortunatly, the only class that I can fit into my schedule with work is a mini-mester course only being 5 weeks long. I am kind of freaked out about it being so short and hope I retain all the info. I will be in class M- TH for 4 1/2 hrs. each day....uuugh!

Is there any advice anyone can give me because I am really nervous taking on this shorter version course.

Thanks

Hello all... finally lab is finished so i have passed lab. I just finished my last lecture test and i got a 91. I have to take the final since i have a 86 average and the class, and i only needed four more points to able to exempt the final. So if i do really good on the final i should be able to walk out with a B. Wish me luck :monkeydance: . Godd luck to everyone during these last few weeks of school. I will be back for the summer schol microbiology thread.

Well I know some of you are finishing I still have 3 more weeks left, our final is may 25 seems like ages away but I know the weeks will go by fast, our last day of class is may 18 so I guess that makes me feel a I little better. We still have a test every week and a practical coming up.

The last minute before going home the instructor gave us a guide for an Essay she forgot about that will be due during the test on Saturday as well. I don't think she even knew what it was she just "found" it in a pile, this is her first year teaching ever and she is following someone elses program. So we have this essay on oxyhemoglobin dissacotiation curve, which is fine but we haven't covered it in class and the points covered on the study guide don't make any sense to me. I hate getting frustrated over things like this, I can't go ask she works full time during the week in a different city, this class is only a weekend class so I'll have time to ask the day before the test....sigh....

Other then that all is still good I am sure I'll still keep my A but boy it hasn't been easy.

We're on quarters, so I'm only half done with A&P3. We'll finish in June sometime.

Good luck to everyone who's preparing for finals!!!!

Peace,

Cathie

Cheers! A&P II is over for me. Not sure how I did on the final exam but it was good enough. I got my A! Only Micro to go and then I can apply to the acc. BSN program (albeit I can't start until January 2008). Yippee!!!!!!!

Good luck to all of you in your upcoming finals!

This has been the worst class of my entire school experience (5 yrs plus). I swore I would drop about a hundred times. But, I sucked it up and endured the semester...and I just got my grade tonight....high A!!!! :balloons: I am so glad I made it through.

Finished up Stats today too with an A. Now I just have one Micro test (need a 70 or better) and I will get an A in that too. Not sure about my 4th class, Health Profession Skills I. I have a high B now, but it will all come down to the last 2 tests. Man I would feel good to get all A's this semester! It has been such a long haul! Now comes Pharmacology in the Summer and Nursing school in August. It's all a blur!

Best to all,

I start A & P 2 May 22 at a new school. A & P 1 was Fall 06. Do you think I need to review before I start or will everything be fine. I have my old A & P book but will sell it once I buy the new one (new school, different text).

I don't think you need to review anything special, but what I did before 2 was to read up on the first unit we would be covering, so I had a good grasp going in, I am so glad I did that it really helped keep my head above water the first month and gave me time to get acclimated to my other hard class I was taking.

I would review my histology again. That's definately one thing that keeps coming back with each new system.

Best of luck.....I hope you enjoy the class!

Hello everyone I am soooo happy the semester if finally over. :monkeydance: I passed the class with a B I hope that everyone has done well this semester. I only have one class left to take and that is Microbiology in the summer. Then I wait to get into the program. So far I have 3 other schools besides the school that i am in. So wish me lots of luck. :yeahthat: Again good luck to everyone and maybe i will see some of you in the Microbiology board.

Hi all I start A&P2 in June, I took A&P 1 and got a B+. It was a tough course, but I enjoyed it.. It's amazing how all the things that I learned now become a bit more "real" when I watch medical shows, etc.. I love Dr. G medical examiner, she had a case where a retarded man died suddenly at home with his sister present. He was eating a sandwich at the time. They thought he choked. He didn't and they couldn't figure out what happened, turned out his spinal canal was actually growing down into his Foramen magnum and it caused death. I have same teacher for A&P2 and hopefully same book.

Good Luck to ALL!
