Yes, I took time out of my weekend. A broken clavicle prevents a lot of activity.
I don't pay to much about what any of them say. I pay more attention to what they do and the results from that.

Sometimes it becomes a matter of connecting the dots.
For instance:
trump >> Steve Miller, who has been in trump's ear for ten years >> brown people named rapists, drug addicts, murderers and, more recently, eaters of dogs and cats >> trump kneecaps the bipartisan border bill >> ICE behavior gets more out of control >> Miller (remember him?) proposes the suspension of habeas corpus for immigration enforcement >> 47ish afrikaners admitted as refugees (so were the kitty-killing Haitians, btw).
Meanwhile, Elon buys a presidency and uses DOFE to loot the federal government, DOGE shoots itself in the foot, Tesla tanks and lots of people get really mad at Elon, who is now walking in the garden eating worms while threatening everybody in sight.
As TMB useta say, "You can't make this stuff up".

Sure, if it makes you feel better we can go with that.
When I hear "inaccuracies" such as "there is white genocide occurring in South Africa (complete with a photo that had nothing to do with anything)" or "I won the election in 2020", I call them lies, made up things and conspiracy theories instead of inaccuracies but no it doesn't make me feel better to not sugar coat it. It nauseates me. They're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats.

Well, I wasnt aware of what specifically other poster was speaking of. She used the term "historical inaccuracies". Perhaps she was sugar coating it?

She, meaning me, was referring to his West Point speech. If you had listened to his speech, you would know which historical inaccuracies. Such as, World War II ending on May 8. That is a real slap in the face to veterans of the pacific theatre.
Hahaha
The "feel better" behavior is that which has people avoiding listening to Trump speeches and ignoring Trump behavior to avoid hearing the lies and crazy rambling. People feel better about their support of Trump if they aren't regularly reminded by him that he's corrupt and a habitual liar, lacking the common sense to make a commencement speech without rambling about trophy wives.

Maybe Trump visited the WW II Museum?
Perhaps inaccurate, maybe misspoke, but I wouldnt say he lied or made it up.

Admittedly, I strayed from that. My apologies for going off on a tangent.

Your article clearly supports what J22 said. There are two dates, Victory in Europe and Victory in Japan. The war in Europe ended on May 8th and then in the pacific on September 2nd. The date of World War II ending is September 2, 1945 when Japan surrendered. I'm not sure what Trump said, it's getting a bit nit picky.
Most likely Trump didn't write all the speech until he went on his usual off the cuff commentary. I would say "inaccurate" and not necessarily that he was making things up or lying. He certainly has proven he doesn't read much or know much about history.
Off topic, he was mocking Europe for celebrating VE Day.

Trump got good reviews for his West Point speech during his last administration. This one, not so much. He apparently went viral for his trophy wife comments. But I'm glad he reminded everyone the job of the military isn't to host drag shows. This is important.
Quotewhen it comes to drag shows, particularly during World War II, when cross dress events were not only sanctioned by the Army, but celebrated as a boon for morale. Because the armed forces were officially segregated by sex until 1948, there was little choice for any service member theater production but to employ men as women.

Repeatedly shared. So, not an accident.
It's a good thing she isn't a student at Harvard.
