Wassa matter? You have no comments to make about the next administration so you have to resort to picking at an absent poster?

It must be hard to play the victim when no is pushing back at your deification of the president-elect.

Yes, the narrative of "you called us Nazis" is getting old as is "Trump won the popular vote" but the absence of two regular (not "many" as Crusades said) is notable.  But we shouldn't discuss posters just topics.

Anyway,   Tweety made a comment that I couldn't wait for some to come back, and I corrected him.  That's all.  I wasn't "picking" on anyone.

I believe there are still plenty of folks here to push back at my "deification " (LOL) of Trump.  I look forward to those discussions when people are respectful and refrain from making things personal.

Well that cattiness went over my head.  LOL.  I'm sure the chance to tell them that Trump won the popular vote is really itching at you guys.

I talked about how this has happened before, that people stop posting after an election.  I've seen it more than once.

Trump won the election and won the popular vote.  I can't wait to rub that in TMB's face.

We do not have to rub his face in it. I'm sure it's already been rubbed raw. Scratching at what went wrong and completely missing why it did.

Yes. The popular vote really is the cherry on top.

Any thoughts on RFK Jr. as HHS Secretary?

Come on Tweety. Trump winning the popular vote will never get old!! LOL

We tried not to blatantly call any member out. And apparently we did a good job because you missed it. So I then clarified it. I wasn't planning on saying any name at all. It actually makes me sad that some members no longer wish to participate because Trump won.

The "many" was in reference to other social media as well.

When some call Trump "Hitler, existential threat, put in a bullseye" for 7 odd years which most likely led to 2 assination attempts, this needs to be called out.

The flippant use of names like "Hitler", "Nazis" "racist", " dictator " have been overused so much that it has perverted the actual significance of these words. 6 million jews  would probably agree except they can't because they were murdered by Hitler.

This is a web that has been  spun by the democrats . They called him this for almost a decade so we can at least call it out for a while. Having been called these things myself, I think we earned it.

Definitely a out of the box choice.  I see the potential for it to go either way.

Like it's been mentioned here and elsewhere,  my concern is him contributing to the mistrust of the medical community regarding vaccines.

That will also erode his credibility on everything else where I think he can do some good.

Interesting, and a different perspective from what I've previously heard. Do you think the big money behind Pharma and corporate ag are going to allow RFK Jr. to tell them how to do business? We know the president-elect is easily swayed.

Yes, you earned your glee and deserve to be catty and gloat about it.  You've proven that it wasn't about Biden's cognitive status but that you are a Trump supporter.  Own it.  Relish in victory.  I know it feels good

Nothing is being unsaid and as a loser I proudly stand by all my posts and have apologized when necessary.  I'm used to losing and being  a minority.  I have zero optimism at the moment but I know he's no Hitler but by all means continue to harp on it all you want.  You might want to buckle it though because it not going to stop.  But you can always end with "yeah but he won the popular vote"

I said before that Trump now has the benefit of experience.  He knows how to be a President and this time around can reshape his legacy and be more Presidential.  Obviously, it's not going to sit well with some of us.

President-elect Donald Trump has been naming his cabinet nominees at a breakneck pace. The types of people that he's selecting are reflective of just how much he has remade the Republican Party in his own image.

Instead of Lincoln's Team of Rivals, the title of Doris Kearns Goodwin's book about the presidential Cabinet put together by the 16th president, Trump's Cabinet is shaping up to be a "Team of Loyalists." It's in many ways a very different type of group than what he put together in 2016. Back then, Trump was a political newbie. He did not know the ways of Washington — or have many friends in it.

Of his appointments, the one of Matt Gaetz is one of the most baffling to me.   Here's an opinion piece about it that's trying to make sense.  Disclaimer, it's very anti-Trump and anti-Gaetz and one-sided.

Quote

"It's the enemy from within,” Trump said of his opponents at a rally last month. "All the scum that we have to deal with that hate our country. That's a bigger enemy than China and Russia.” Some of his supporters thrilled to this language, but others convinced themselves that he didn't really mean it. By tapping Gaetz to be the highest law enforcement official in the land, Trump has done us the favor of stripping away whatever plausible deniability remained about his intentions. It's a show of dominance directed more at Republicans than Democrats, meant to make them abase themselves by acquiescing to a nomination they know is indefensible.
