Do you think it is just sloppy work or an intentional attempt to make us more vulnerable?

Two things can be true at the same time.

At this point I'll believe anything. It makes my head spin to try to make any sense of it.

And now you have a Democrat mayor indicted by the Biden administration, set to be prosecuted by a conservative prosecutor (recently promoted by Donald Trump) who resigns in the face of what she believes to be an unethical/illegal action by the Trump administration having Pam Bondi's acting deputy attorney general order the prosecutors to drop the case.

6 additional attorneys have now resigned, including Prosecutor Hagan Scotten, who earned two Bronze medals for his military service and who clerked for Chief Justice John Roberts, wrote he does not have negative views about the Trump administration. But he said any prosecutor knows the laws and tradition would not allow using the enormous power of the Justice Department to lean on elected officials.

"I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool or enough of a coward to file your motion," Scotten wrote in his letter. "But it was never going to be me."

Eric Adams began to be cozy with Trump just before the inauguration -even meeting with him at Mar-a-Lago. He seems to be making a deal to cooperate on deportation efforts in NYC in exchange for dropping the case against him.

Of course Trump told reporters that HE had not asked for the case against Adams to be dropped. But the letter to drop the case said it was under "direct orders implementing the policy of a duly elected President".

Congressional Republicans outlined what weaponized government might look like over the past several years.  Now they seem to be practicing what they were talking about in those hearings. As they are successful the unconstitutional behavior will get more brazen.  Buckle up.

Trump is ignorant and doesn't really care about out her people.  This is evident in his priorities.  He recently issued an EO that punishes public educational institutions which require COVID-19 vaccines.

Quote

Findings  Among children and young people aged 0 to 19 years in the US, COVID-19 ranked eighth among all causes of deaths, fifth in disease-related causes of deaths (excluding unintentional injuries, assault, and suicide), and first in deaths caused by infectious or respiratory diseases. COVID-19 deaths constituted 2% of all causes of death in this age group.

Meaning  In this study, COVID-19 posed a significant disease burden for children and young people, so pharmaceutical and nonpharmaceutical interventions continue to be important to limit transmission of the virus and to mitigate severe disease.

Do you think a child should miss out on his or her education if their parents don't wish to have them receive a covid vaccine?

I believe in vaccination as a way to save lives and reduce hospitalization. The data reflects vaccine safety and effectiveness.   I believe millions of Americans have been encouraged to distrust vaccines since Trump has dominated conservative politics and cultural thinking.

You avoided directly answering the question.  But, it sounds like you believe a child should be forced to miss their education unless they obtain a covid vaccine.

I also believe in vaccines.  However, I don't believe vaccines, the covid vaccine in particular, should be forced upon a child to obtain an education from a public school.

Parents make choices for their children relative to the rules of the community.

I simply believe in sound public health guidance for vaccine preventable illnesses and I understand why public schools have vaccine expectations.  I also understand that the COVID-19 vaccine concerns among Trump supporting Americans also now includes other vaccines and vaccination rates are dropping.

How long do you think it will be before there are no recommendations for childhood vaccination and the USA doesn't subsidize the cost of the common childhood vaccines under the direction of RFKjr? What do you think that unsubsidized cost will be to young parents?

Well said.

He doesn't care about kids who's parents don't want them to be vaccinated because obviously their parents are fascist because they voted for Trump.
