What "experts around the world are alarmed"?

Mind you, I'm not an alarmist or a "sky is falling" type of person,  but here's the article.  My apologies for not referencing it above.

We have to acknowledge any impact and we have to acknowledge whether it matters to us.

Thank you.

And, I agree with what you're saying here.

News flash—Trump supporters think he's doing a good job. Now ask them if Executive Orders carry the force of law? At least some of them are realizing that tariffs will raise prices.

What Trump supporters believe and expect

Quote

Supporters saw Trump as a change candidate. In an October survey, most of his supporters (86%) said he would change Washington for the better, while only 12% said he wouldn't change things much. Supporters of Kamala Harris saw Trump as likely to change things, too, but 92% said he would change things for the worse.

The economy and immigration were top issues for Trump supporters. Just as it was in 2020, the economy was the most important issue for Trump voters this year. In a September survey, 93% said it was very important to their vote.

Immigration ranked second, as 82% said it was very important to their vote. This was a substantial increase from 2020, when 61% of Trump supporters rated it as very important to them.

Issues that were much less important to Trump voters included climate change (11% said it was very important), racial and ethnic inequality (18%), and abortion (35%...

People do like to be on the winning team.

Civic knowledge is very low. A recent study found only 39% of Americans could name all three branches of government! Imagine almost 40% of those pole respondents having no clue what's going on.

A lot of people are very shortsighted, frustrated by news headlines of rising prices, immigration enforcement failures, frustrated by the lack of action etc and and see this strong arm leader bringing quick change.

They really don't understand or care that government institutions are being dismantled in a reckless manner, what that means for the long-term stability - moving from a Constitutional Federal Republic to an authoritarian style.

I seriously can't imagine what it's like to not know what the three branches of government are but we're where we are because of the lack of understanding and appreciation for what made this country unique. Add to that so many people completely lack any exposure to good information, watch only Fox News and other alternative media

...and of course those who are getting great satisfaction that Trump is "owning the libs". It's really all they wanted.

I'm not saying there's no one who is informed/educated who is also supporting Trump but uninformed masses really do boost his popularity.

People have been making similar points here for years.  It doesn't really explain how that Trump won, then lost, then won again.  Or that Trump had the worst approval rating when he left, until Biden.

Even with Trump's win, people here have said that only 30% of the country voted for him and that many of those were more of a vote against Harris.  But, now the public is uninformed and that's why 53% of Americans approve of what he's doing

I would agree that way too many Americans are uninformed.  But, it isn't just Fox News watchers like you want to believe.  Heck, I've had to correct uninformed non-Conservatives here countless times.

What is the definition of a Trump supporter?

My definition includes people who voted for Trump, those who give him money either directly or indirectly, and foreign nationals who speak favorably of him. I assume members of his club are supporters. I have seen news stories of immigrants who were not eligible to vote hoping he would win thinking he would not deport them because they weren't criminals. People like Putin, Orban, MBS, and Netanyahu are supporters.

So, back to the poll in which 53% of Americans approve of Trump's job as POTUS so far.  You attribute that "Trump supporters ".

However, also according to you in past posts, less than 30% of Americans voted for him.

Foreign nationals aren't Americans.  Illegal aliens aren't Americans.  So, they wouldnt be included in the polling number.

That leaves people who voted for him and people who gave money to him left as Trump supporters.  Presumably,  they're among the 30% who voted for him.

So, just trying to follow the logic of things you've said here since the election.  How did we get from 30% who voted for him to a 53% aporoval?

Trump attended the Super Bowl, left at halftime when score Kansas City 0, Eagles 24;  he had predicted KC win.  As of midnight, no congrats to my Philadelphia Eagles probably because they declined White House visit in 2017.  Hope you all enjoyed our thrashing KC.

30% voted for him and are assumed to be within that 53%. Fill in the rest with people who didn't vote at all or are politically unengaged. Remember all those people who don't know what the three branches of government are...
