Explain that.  You believe this Trump propaganda is rationale to put Musk and his personal staff in control of essential agency data, secrets, and services. How does that BS propaganda explain the necessity to stop aid to Ukraine or to shut staff out of their jobs and committed computers?  Try to connect the dots.

This is the rational

First, the link is broken.  Second, why would you take the word of the dishonest oligarch who is stealing from you? That seems especially naive.

I was very disappointed with these tarrifs with Canada and Mexico. To taffif both countries 25% when there is a major disparity between illegal migrants/drugs from Mexico vs Canada.

I even questioned Trump's motive and was ready to asign this to authoritarian type behavior. If he did not delay the tarrifs, I may have considered this a an authorative act for profit and extremely poor international relations.

He has now accepted the strengthing of both borders my measures placed by both countries and delayed the tarriffs. Which eases some of my concerns.

Hopefully this is what Trump says it is and at the end of the day if it helps resolve some of the issues of illegal migrants and drugs, all countries benefit.

It does pose a question especially in Canada's case why the need to be threatened with tariffs to secure the border and make Canadians and Americans safer?

Hahaha. You fell for the con, again.

Trump didn't get any additional or special considerations from either Mexico or Canada but he did have to promise to get better control of the gun trafficking across our borders into Mexico and Canada.  Trump really benefits from a fan club that is satisfied to believe whatever he tells them.

Here's the answer to your question.  There was no need for tariffs on Canada, it was completely unnecessary.  Trump simply had a temper tantrum and then had to eat his words when the expected chaos and criticism touched him personally.  Trump had to swallow his threats and you interpret that as savvy strength? LOL

The real bite in the 2022 law, however, comes in the limitations it places on Trump's power to replace the terminated IGs—limitations that I believe are constitutional. This aspect of the law will make it hard, but not impossible, for Trump to put loyalists atop the dozens of vacant IG offices around the executive branch. The ultimate fate of IG independence during Trump 2.0, however, depends less on legal protections than on whether Congress, which traditionally protects IGs, stands up for them now. Don't hold your breath.

The article seems to describe Trump as an unethical chump who doesn't feel restrained by laws or convention.  You approve of his judgment and actions, right?

It's just the press secretary reading the same list that Crusades posted earlier.

"It seems like the trick to negotiating with Trump is to realize he doesn't have any idea what the current facts are,” posted Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell on BlueSky. “‘Oh you want 10,000 troops?’ says world leader who already deployed 15K. 'Great 10k it is.’”

I'm not sure that Trump's supporters are willing to accept that reality.  In these threads they've held this up as evidence that Trump has this all under control.  It's remarkable really.  Propaganda works really well.

WOW , what a press conference Trump with Netanyahu who appeared shocked by this news: Trump says US will 'take over' Gaza: 'We'll own it'

Watch:  Trump says U.S. will "take over Gaza Strip"

Quote

President Trump, standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a joint news conference at the White House, said the U.S. would "take over the Gaza Strip" and "own it," promoting the idea that the Palestinian people should live elsewhere.

Mr. Trump said the Palestinians in Gaza "should not go through a process of rebuilding" and said they had " lived a miserable existence there." Earlier in the afternoon, during a meeting with Netanyahu in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump said the Palestinians should "resettle permanently" in "nice homes" somewhere else.

"The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too," Mr. Trump said. "We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings —  level it out. Create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area. Do a real job. Do something different."

"Just can't go back," he continued. "If you go back, it's gonna end up the same way it has for a hundred years."

The president was asked by a reporter what authority he has to take over a sovereign territory, and he replied that he's studied the matter closely for months.

"I do see a long-term ownership position, and I see it bringing great stability to that part of the Middle East, and maybe the entire Middle East," Mr. Trump said. ...

....Asked who would live there, Trump responded, "the world's people," saying, "the potential in the Gaza Strip is unbelievable."

"History, as you know, just can't let it keep repeating itself. We have an opportunity to do something that could be phenomenal. And I don't want to be cute. I don't want to be a wise guy. But the Riviera of the Middle East, this could be something that could be so ... magnificent," he said.

TRUMP, the builder, taking over a sovereign country. What could go wrong with this scenario...

I can't wait to hear how Trump supporters defend and explain this.  I'm genuinely curious how anyone will try to make this make sense.

King Donald the Orange, wants to be Emperor by taking Panama, Canada, Greenland, and now Gaza. Of course, he will need to ethically cleanse Gaza of those pesky Palestinians.

No wait.  We were assured very adamantly that Trump wasn't involved in that at all.  LOL
