Hi SNs! I have the opportunity to do a mini-series of health lessons with my middle schoolers and I need one more topic. So far I have hand washing/illness prevention, nutrition/exercise, stress, medication safety, backpack safety.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

contact your state branch of poison control - they will often come out and do an educational program for you. If not they usually have a ton of stuff that's helpful like common household poisons, carbon monoxide, safe babysitting - that you can present or work into other presentations.

I am starting a six part drug awareness program today for MS. It is from the National Institute of Drug Abuse called Brain Power. It focuses on normal brain function and how the brain responds to drugs, a lot better than teaching them how to take them and what to ask for. There are lesson plans and resources and it is free.
