Christmas break, when do you start yours?

Good morning!

My Christmas break begins on December 18th and I cannot wait!! I return back to school on January 2nd. That and the gender reveal party (I'm 5 months pregnant) that I'm throwing on Saturday is what is going to get me through this work week.

When do you guys/gals go on break? What do you do during the break to occupy your days? Started this job back in September and it is my first school nurse position so I haven't had the luxury of getting two weeks off paid and it not be PTO because I was going on vacation lol

Break starts on the 22nd and ends on Jan 2nd here. My daughter's birthday is the 23rd, so we'll celebrate that, then Christmas at home and with my in-laws, a few days later Christmas with my parents, then starts the after Christmas clean up and by the time all the new stuff is put away, it'll be back to school! Winter break is glorious!

Sounds like a busy and fun time for you! Enjoy. I will be celebrating Christmas as well with my boyfriend and friends so that week should be fun! Of course doing something fun for NYE as well as this is my last NYE baby-less. I loved Thanksgiving break so I know for sure I will love this break even more!

Mine starts the 20th through the 2nd. 7 more days...

This is my first year as well, and I'm excited to have so much time off for the holidays. I have lots of baking I want to do, and still need to finish buying a few presents and wrapping. And sleeping in!

We are out at 2pm on the 21st, and back on Jan. 3rd. It seems like a lot of time if you've never had it off like that before, but honestly with all the hustle and bustle, it flies by! I'm taking my mom to 2 out of town dr. appts while I'm off, and 1 for myself. Also want to go see the new Star Wars move :) Can't wait!

We start at 3:30 PM on 12/22, and we are off until 1/8! This is my first year with a winter break, and I cannot wait! We will celebrate Christmas Eve with my family, and then on 12/26 we head to CO to spend 9 days with my husband's family. We were supposed to ski, but they haven't had much snow where we go, so I'm guessing we'll see some movies and just enjoy each other's company. I have an 8-year-old daughter who is hoping we get to ski. I'm okay curling up with a few books and enjoying the downtime:)

Our last day is Dec 21 and we come back on Jan 2. My BFF and I and our daughters are going to NYC after Christmas to see the Rockettes and "Chicago" on Broadway. Our girls are seniors in high school this year, and this graduation "gift" has been on the table for a few years now. We are all super excited. Other than that, it will just be chillin' at home with the family.

Super exciting about the baby. Do you have any idea what it is? What are you planning to do for the reveal?

We get out on 12/19 and my own kids get out 12/22 so I have those few extra days to finish up what I need to. We go back on 1/2.

I am just trying to make it until then- I have my father's memorial service this Saturday and am flying out Friday for that. My 12 year old son very likely has the flu as of this morning, so I am worrying about us all getting sick this week/weekend. I am taking him in to get swabbed this afternoon. Both of my kids are staying with friends this weekend when my husband and I fly down to VA so worried what we will do with them if they are still sick. I guess I need to let that go as there is nothing I can do right now.

We celebrate Hanukkah also which starts tomorrow. I thankfully got all those gifts wrapped over the weekend. The ONLY not so bad thing about my son being sick is that he had a super late basketball game tonight until 9 pm which he now can't play in so now my night is free ;)

Anyway, I will breathe a bog sigh of relief when the 19th rolls around.
