    Will not delete Facebook! That's how we (my nursing classmates) ask questions/study and don't waste our texts! That, and skype. Also, I keep in touch with nurse mentors. But with everything you write or upload you must think ahead and RE-READ what you write before you post.

    I did not delete my FB account, nor will I. If you're that paranoid about posting on FB, be paranoid about posting ANYWHERE on the internet, especially in nursing specific forums. :-P

    Seriously though...be a critical thinker and use your best judgement about what it is you put out there for others to read and see.

    umm...i have doctor friends,lawyer friends and politician friends...should they delete theirs as well?...

    so nope...not gonna happen...just have to be smart about what you want out there...be abit modest as my mom use to say..

    How about instead of using your best judgement in what you post, you use your best judgement in how you live? Its the act that is frowned upon, not the act being posted in full color online, Just Saying.

    Well the question had to be tailored to nursing that is why I asked it the way I did. My thoughts were on the students that have not used "common sense" pertaining to the fb with their nursing careers and schooling.

    Can't say paranoia is the main reason people feel the way they do if they don't fb or are planning on deleting.

    I never deleted it. But rule #1 of social networking sites: NEVER post anything you don't want your boss, recruiter, or mom to read. I think keeping it is a good thing: it forces you to think before you type.

    Are you serious???? Do what you want. In my opinion, do you have more than one email acct? Give the school your assigned email account by the school or create one just for that purpose. How detailed is your FB? Do you have a pic of you on it? Is your name spelled out exactly like at school? As long as your are mature and do not post stupid crap on FB, then you have nothing to worry about. If you feel you must act silly and immature, then create a free site in google and post away. Better yet, get a friend you are close with and vent away. Keep your account if you like but you do not have to update your network every 30 seconds on what you are doing. Good luck in school.
