Is university a lot harder than community college?

I've never attended university and I'm in a nursing program at CC. A friend of mine told me that anatomy is a lot harder at university it is at CC and scantrons are not even used in university because you have to write out the answers. He said CC is like just elementary school compared to university.

Not true. My community college's anatomy class is set up exactly the same as the university's.

Degree of difficulty for any specific course is a function of the instructor and how that instructor approaches conduct of that particular course.

Not true. I did 4 years at university and 2 years at community college. I had good and bad instructors at both and hard and easy classes at both. The only thing I found more challenging at university was the large class sizes and heavy bureaucracies at the particular university I attended.

I just love how people in general comment about experiences they have no idea about.

I've attended both; both use scantron and written tests equally.

You can always suggest to your friend to actually take some courses in CC and then make an informed compassion.

I took all my prereqs at a CC and I was MUCH better prepared than many of the university transfers. IMO it is a combination of the quality of the program (not always related to price) and what you put into it.

I've been at both. There's really no difference. The only thing that's different is living on campus in my opinion. University teachers will also teach at CC's and vice versa. Universities, at least in my state, will trump CC in regards to the sheet volume of applicants as well as quality of applicant applications (grades/experience, etc)

Define harder? Literally it's harder according to my friend who went to both university and CC
