It may seem a bit daunting, and it may be hard.... but inthe end you will be a nurse and it wll all be worth it.
Congrats on getting in! I won't hear until the end of June about my first choice, but I know I got in to my second choice.

And does anyone know do we have to have our CPR card turned in the first semester?
I think most schools require it before you even start the first semester--mine does.

Congrats! Call your school financial aid office (or maybe the department even has one?) and see if they can healp you. At least it might ease your mind a bit.

I did it, I went to my financial Aid office to grab FAFSA form, then they fed me with BS of how are they not sure if I qualify for any financial help because I arleady have the degree from that college..they said the decision will be made in the middle of July I am really trying to avoid going down the road of taking out private loan..my first nursing semester wont be as much costly as the second one, which i heard is the toughest one two, I will have 4 classes, Pharmacology 1, Pharmacology 2, Med-Surgical, OB, its is said that Pharmacology class is the taughest one in the whole nursing program and a lot of people do fail it, im thinking to take intro to pharmacology this upcoming summer to get the idea of what im getting into, but my major worries is basically the financial ones...

I just want to say good luck to you all in your upcoming success!!!
I'm in my second year of nursing, and boy...I didnt know HOW much work it actually was.

    Some advice:
    1. Time manage
    2. Prepare
    3. Attend all lectures...if you miss one, youre not in good shape!
    4. Listen!
    5. Study notes when you get home so youre not cramming info into your brain the night before!

I dont know if that helps at all, I'm sure all of you already know this...

I wish you all good luck!!! Have fun, and maybe I'll see you around somewhere!!!

So today I went to the hospital to get my physical done...my orientation is monday :spin: The doc tells me I have murmurs in my heart..the doc is new resident..very nice...however she puts on my physical that I have those murmurs in my heart than she tells me ' I dont know what the school will do about it..." Im like what??? So I go back to my school's health department to discuss this unexpected matter...So my school's nurse is all fricked out about what the doctor said...she is like 'when you pick up the labs tell her to write down on the physical that even though you exhibiting the murmurs in your heart you can still work! From my 'green" perspective I believe that doc will not do that because she is not a fortuneteller and doesnt know if those murmurs are dangerous to me. Now what I believe what will happen is she probably will send me for EKG...here I am thinking everything is nice and smooth the visit payment so far so good, only $149) and then this...bumer..
