Congrats! :) Did you not get your scores back?Without looking at the paper again, I think I made 88 on the math and 73 on the english.....and of course 50/50 is the requirement.:)

:)
I made 95% on math and 76% on reading. I thought that was all. I didn't know that there were learning style, reading rate and stress level parts on the test.

Great job! :) I started getting worried about time, and just marked an answer on the math if I thought I was taking more than a minute...lol ....I may have received ummmmmm maybe a 89 or 90 instead of 88! :chuckle
I'm just glad that's overwith. I was worried about it beforehand. (I better get accepted before the 2 year limit, ......don't wanna go through it again! :)

Hi ev1! I'm attending UTA and just have the Fall semester left to finish prereq's!
Katie - any more advice on taking the NET? I plan on taking it in October/November... I haven't bought the study guide yet but will soon so that I have as much time to study as possible. Learning style, reading rate, and stress level -- what the heck is that about!!
What a great thread!
lol reading rate, etc is just a waste of your time. haha DCCCD doesn't even use that info for admission into the nursing program.
I bought the NET Study Guide and I think it was helpful.
Good luck! :)
Hi Fun2Care!
So, what does DCCCD stand for - I'm confused on that one! Your applying to Northlake and El Centro, right? What are the requirements there? I think I'll apply to most of them... UTA, TWU, Tarleton... maybe El Centro...
Nice talking to you all!

About the NET:
The questions are not hard on the test, but there is no time to finish it. During the test I didn't see how much time I have left. It was frustrating. Practice math and reading a lot!

Never mind Fun2Care,
Figured out DCCCD - lol!
Has anyone found out the acceptance GPA for the Fall 2005 nursing program?
I'm just wondering if it stayed at 3.77, went to 4.0, or down... & how many non-nursing courses did the ones that got accepted have completed?????????
ALSO, I registered for a CPR class at Arlington Memorial Hospital, and paid $45. :)
I'm finishing up my last non-nursing course (A&P 2) now. August 29th, I have to get my physical, PPD, and last HepB. By then, I should have my transcripts, and be able to make copies of the physical & shots and mail off the application.
Then, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait until October along with everyone else.. lol

I have no idea. Can you call El Centro? Do they give info on phone?
I registered at Brookhaven College, $50 for CPR.

Hi! I had gone to the information sesssion for the ADN program at El Centro College on the most recent one this month and they said it was 3.77 was the lowest and they didn't say anything about how many of the non-nursing courses they did complete. She had just talked about how someone who had 4.0 for the pre-q and no support courses done would be accepted over the one who had 3.5 pre-q and all of the support courses done. I am also applying by August 31. I have to get my 2nd Hep B shot and my 2nd chicken pox shot and then I will turn everything in.
Oh wow $45 for CPR? I had to pay $65 for the one that was held at El Centro. Wish I had looked around at the prices. Anyways good luck!! :)

LKG6....$50's not bad either :)
lalajenn....thanks for the info. If it stays at 3.77, then I have a chance! lol
I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE ALGEBRA OVER AGAIN!!!!
As for the CPR.....I thought it was awfully low. I made sure to ask if it was a recertification class, and they said it was both new and recerts together. I looked around, because I wanted something close that worked into my schedule. (8 AM at El Centro....YUCK!) lol

I was wondering if anyone knew what to do if you don't have copies of your immunizations records? I think most of my shots where done thru a clinic that doesn't exist anymore. Any info would be appreciated =]
