:) I'm taking "Introductory Chemistry" :)

My class books came this afternoon :) :) I’ve skimmed a few of the "Introduction To Chemistry" chapters. It seems to be an alright book, I would like to know what the class work will be. The information may be put out a week before class. :) :)

I’ve three other classes of books and etc to look over. It will be wonderful if I can keep up with all that is required.

I took Chem II last semester but I dropped it because I did not like the teacher. I am taking it again, so hopefully I will get an A!!! This is also my last semester of pre-req's. I am taking Micro as well, but I am more worried about Chem....oxidation and reduction really threw me for a loop. I got an A in 101. We shall see. Anyone in Louisiana?

Hey!! I am also taking Chemistry II this semester and I am terrified. I took Chemistry I two semesters ago and I am currently reviewing everything because I start class tomorrow. I am horrible at chemistry even though I try my hardest and I know that it is a terrible attitude to have, but Chemistry= #1 fear. I hope that I have the strength to go through with it and not give up. Good luck to everyone who is taking a a class that is challenging to you, whether it is chemistry or some other class.

I saw a Bible verse in another forum and would like to share it to everyone.

Philippians 4:13: I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [i am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. (NIV)

(New Living Translation) For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need

I'm starting Inorganic Chemistry (the year long series of Inorganic Chemistry). I did well in Chem 101, but what intimidates me about Inorganic is that it seems so far to be very intense. The lab is separate (2.5 credits = 5 hrs a week in lab) with a separate final and exams, and the lecture is 4 credits, it works out to be about 9 hours a week all together, which if you go by what the college recommends, is 18 hrs of studying outside the classroom a week. That's on top of taking Biology II and Pre-Calc (icky).

Good luck to everyone! Just remember, acid into water when diluting! :p

I will be in FUNDAMENTALS OF CHEMISTRY this spring semester. I would love to be apart of a study group, b/c we can do this together.

Hello, is anyone in Champaign, IL? I know my profile says Chicago, but I am actually in school at Champaign. I am taking Chem 102 at Parkland. Is anyone else here taking the same course?

I think what people have done in past Chemistry threads is to ask questions on this forum about their homework problems and such...and if everyone is okay with that...maybe we could do it as well.

Good luck to everyone this semester :)

Had my first day of Organic Chem today. It's funny how I was at a different community college than the one I've been taking classes at but still saw two people I knew. And this is out of class of twenty.

The instructor is great. He's very enthusiastic about the subject and requires us to answer his questions. We do have quizes on a weekly basis though. Ugh. But it'll keep me studying and caught up.

Good luck to everyone as your classes start.
