  6. I am just finishing Chem you just need algerbra. I had not had any in 30 years and made it through the chem but was lucky my chem teacher took his time on the math section. Good luck and Go for it!!
  7. My teacher from last quarter taught us a trick for the Density mass volume equation to remember as DMV - Department of Motor vehicles you can also remember if you put the letters D M V in a triangle with D in the lower left corner, M in the upper angle and V in the lower right corner and remember D=M/V, M=(D)(V), and V=M/D this is hard to see with out being able to draw it out in the triangle.
  8. I need luck too I have an exam tonight. I didn't do so well on the quiz either hopefully this help to point me in the right direction.
  9. Hey Charleybarley, Hang in there. You need to try this link http://chemed.chem.purdue.edu/genchem/topicreview/index_noframes.html Our chem teacher has it posted on our class web site. It has helped me with some calculations. I am also praying for you to do well. Hang in there and let me know if the link helps. Good luck. I am a bit in the same boat and have our first quiz today. New teacher so I don't know what to expect:uhoh21: . Wish I wasn't so "rusty" in my algebra calculation. Anyways I really hope the web site helps. Hang in there you can do it. Kat:)
  10. Hi all, As many of you, I am changing careers as well, just wish I would have done this years ago. I will start full time nursing school at a community college in the fall. Have to leave my accounting job and maybe find part time work to help with mortgage and living expenses. We have 4 kids from the ages of 20 down to 11. Hopefully I will be eligible for some student loans, other than that savings will have to get me through. I am looking forward to it but get nervous from all the posts about drop out rates in the school. My pre-req's have gone great so far. Winter is my last pre-req of Chemistry. I changed to a different teacher as the one I had last quarter, I didn't feel like I was getting all from the class I could. I think that you should not wait and get started as I said I am sorry I waited so long to make this change but I am glad to be on my way. Good luck to you :wink2: Kat
  11. I am starting my second quarter of Chem as well. The first quarter was pretty easy Hopefully this one will go good too. Last class before nursing School starts!!!!
  12. I would wait list myself show up for the class the first day. I have gotten into 2 classes this way usually without a problem on the first day as several did not show up for class and were dropped automatically. Also email the teacher so they have a heads up as to who you are. Good luck!!!!!!!!
  13. I'm in for Fall of 2006, RN Program Very excited! Can hardly wait. Kat:balloons: :roll
