    Yep, I did! Woot!

I had to take "Chemistry for Healthcare Providers" which was general/organic/bio all rolled into one butt busting class.
I did the same thing and got an A also. And yes, it is a butt busting class! We are talking 4 hour+ lecture a week and every Friday from 9AM to about 2pm (and that does not include through out the week studying) doing nothing but labs a study study! I kinda thought the bio-chem part was the easiest. A lot was review from physio, nutrition and micro...

I got an easy a in chem, lecture and lab! it was pretty easy for me, it just came naturally. Organic is pretty easy, but I didnt like it because it didnt have any math, just memorizing. I believe A&P is much harder!

Yes, I have an A in the Chemistry I. Somehow it turns out to be a very easy class to me. Maybe it is the easiest in all the pre-reqs to me.

I've got an A so far. It's my last science pre-req, and so far it's by far the easiest, compared to A&P 1 and 2, and microbiology. I actually kind of like it.

I did. But yeah, it was really hard. I think it depends on the teacher too. We had an awesome teacher too. He wasn't easy, he just made it easy to learn and fun. Believe it or not...it was actually fun....:hatparty:

Don't worry, rgrgray. There are plenty of worksheets that you can download off of the internet for extra practice, and plenty of sites for lessons being taught in an easier to understand method.

Also, if you can and it's offered, utilize your school's tutoring center. It was a Godsend to me. :P

Good luck! You can do it, think positive, and get past the chemistry hurdle!!!!!! :hatparty:

    Oh, please don't be terrified!

I took Chemistry this past summer (a 13 week course crammed into 6 weeks) just so I didn't have to take it this fall with A&P and Nursing 101 and I made an A. In fact, the teacher told me later that I earned the highest grade in the class. I am by no means a Chemistry whiz. I just went in very prepared. It was helpful that the class was geared to the health industries; I got much out of the class for that reason. My only "strategy" was to make sure I kept up with the reading, and to do the homework. I pre-read the next day's lecture material the evening before, so I had an idea of what was going to be spoken about; I just didn't want anything to surprise me.

I promise that preparation is the key, and if you do the work and study hard, you'll be fine. But please... do not be terrified.

Good luck, and much success to you!

    Don
