Hi CV2RN, Congratulations for getting into the MDC Nursing Program. Consider yourself blessed because out of the 2k that applied you got accepted. I'm currently on my 3rd semester, Full Time Generic. So far I'm enjoying every inch of it. Including the stress btw :) I don't know what information you need. Feel free to ask questions. Good luck!

Usually MDC sends out acceptance letter middle of June. So those who applied for Fall should be getting a response in the mail soon. Good luck!
  4. Hello! When I applied to MDC my GPA was 3.8 something. It is very competitive. Good luck!
  5. Every year we were told that at least 2,000 applicants to the Nrsg program and only around 300-400 gets in because it's very competitive. I know someone from 2 semesters ago that has a GPA of 3.4 but did not get in. So if you can boost your grades you have a better chances of getting in. In my class I know that mostly are on the 3.6 and above. Good luck!
  6. The Accel program is tough, on the 1st semester you will have 21 credits vs. 11 credits on the generic. Getting in is based on GPA and classes taken. It's very competitive. I'm on my 2nd semester (generic FT) and honestly, it's not easy. You will need a good support system. It is recommended that you don't work but I have seen people who still work full-time and manage to pass their classes. Good luck!
  7. here's the link although it does not really say much about requirements: AWI - Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program I went to a Dade county workforce office and right now they are not accepting application until January because they told me funds are not available.
  8. Hi there! It's been a while since my last post. How's your schooling? I also started nursing school this fall and just finished my final exams. Thankfully, I survived my grueling semester If God-willing, I'm set to grad with ADN in Dec 07. How about you? Take care and Good luck!
  9. Hello! I found out that the letters were sent out this week..Good luck!
  10. Yes, try calling the nursing dept and check when the letters are going out. It could be 2 months before Spring term starts. When I applied last May for Fall, I got my letter in June. GPA was 3.82. Good luck!
  11. Congratulations! :monkeydance: Good luck to all of us the Fall starters
  12. Yeps! We didnt think about it hehe. That's fine. I was sitting at the back hehehe..And I agree about the orientation, I was yawningggg hehehe... Wow! Congratulations!!! I'm happy for you! :monkeydance: :monkeydance: I haven't heard anything yet from them. I got a scholarship from Miami-Dade, it's not a full scholarship but it's something that could help me financially. I have second thoughts about the scholarship at Baptist, its wayy too far from me hehe. I might not accept it if I'll get an offer. Good luck to us!
  13. Hi mom12! I had same set of questions...I'm sure about my chances though...We'll find out soon.
  14. The letter stated 9am to 430pm. I think they will be giving us information on the program, how to register for classes then the other requirements. I haven't talk to anyone that went through orientation, I guess we'll wait and see then Talk to you later!
  15. I just got a call from Baptist today. I'm scheduled for an interview this week too! I applied for off-site. I'll be going to Medical Campus. Good luck to us!
