Anxiously waiting for the acceptance bus

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone!

I have been haunting these discussion boards since I decided i wanted to become a nurse. I started my pre-nursing pathway a couple years ago and am so excited to say that I was finally able to apply to the nursing school of my dreams! The deadline for fall '17 semester was the 1st of February. I was told by the nursing director that she would have the 30 candidates selected a week after the deadline.

Since I became eligible to apply I had been over the moon extatic! But now that I'm having to wait for selections I find my self far more anxious and bothered by things that never bug me. I'm usually as chill as a cucumber.

Have others felt the same way or am I overthinking the outcomes? Anyways please chime in.

Its always a nerve-raking time when you're waiting for something really important. That's a normal feeling. Did you only apply to 1 nursing school?

I won't know my admission decision until early April :/ And I know how never racking it is for you, but just try to get your mind focused on something else to keep you from thinking negative things.

Wow, I wish we only had a one week wait! Our applications are due 1 May, but we don't find out until the end of July (or early August)! I have no idea why it takes so long, it's a tiny program, and based on points, gpa, hesi.

I hate waiting too. This summer will be rough!! And the worst part is we start in August... So we only have a couple weeks to get everything together.

My deadline is March 1st, and won't know until late March for 56 seats available.

My deadline was January 31 and they'll start sending out emails mid to late this month. It's a highly competitive BSN program. Sixty-four spots and nearly 200 applicants. It's all I can do to not think about it every five minutes, but luckily my A&P II and Micro are keeping me busy. Soon enough!

I just wrote my psb exam waiting for my marks and waiting till mid March for my acceptance letter my course average is 93 percent hope it's enough

Which State are you in, HopefulNurse? This sounds a bit like the program I hope to attend.

Yeah I applied to only one because I'm from a rural area. Luckily the school has an outstanding nursing program.

I guess I should be grateful, the website says 6 weeks for selection results but they make their selection rather quickly.

I'm sure you will be just fine. I am sending positive thoughts your way!

I wish I found out that soon! Our deadline to apply is April 1st, and we will find out if we got in sometime in May. I already applied in January so now I'm just anxiously waiting and finishing up my last prerequisites.
