A&P 1: The Spring '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

This week I have a lecture and lab exam over the whole nervous system then the week after that the "final". That is only lecture test but covers the first 600 pages from the book!
I will have no life in the next two weeks.

Wow you are lucky! Our final is half our grade :banghead:

I finished my lab final last week :smiley_aa I'm sooooooo happy to have that done...I do well in the lecture but the lab is really hard for me. I think I just did so/so on the lab final but I did the best I could.

Nursingstudent, I totally understand how you feel. That's how I've felt all semester about my lab...for some reason the anatomy part is just really hard for me...I'm not a visual learner at all...but just keep going after your dream. And congrats on the B!!

I feel very good about lab. I enjoy studying in the lab and it helps that I spend hours in it using the models.

I was told today that our final test is canceled, becuse there is no enough time to review those 600 pages.

I am so relieved, and happy. And I made 100% on nervous system.

Whewwwwww lol

I made a 92 on the last lab, after a 3 point curve. Kindof sucks, but I knew I wasn't going to do very well. I stayed up reading Dev. Pscyh until 2:30 AM the night before the lab. Oh well! That just means I have a 97.33 average for lab. lol

I have to make a 36 on the lecture to have my A. If I don't totally screw up, I'm sure I'll make it. :)

As for my Dev Psych that I was reading, I missed 7 out of 40 2-point questions. So, I have to get at least 10 out of the 20 possible points on the essay questions to make a 76. Having at least a 76 will give me my A in Dev Psych. :)

Back to studying for the last A&P 1 lecture test.....

Well we only dissected a sheeps brain and a cows eye...and I guess I'd have to say no it didn't really help *me*. Our sheeps brain was decomposing ( ugh) and so it was a gooey mess- pretty nasty. The cows eye- the formeldehyde turned basically the entire thing black ( cornea, etc) so ..nope. :)

But in A+P 2 I will be doing a cat so I'm sure that will be a lot better of a visual then a tiny cow eye.

I found it to be very helpful. We used the cat for muscles and it helped enormously to be able to use it to identify muscles on the cat.

Sheep's brain was a bit different, it didn't help me as much as the cat did. But it was still a good reference to use when preparing for lab.

Ok, no one has started this yet, so I guess I will. I start A&P I on January 18th, lab and lecture.
Here are a few good websites I have found...some are basic, some may be more indepth than your instructor asks for.....BUT it gives you a little more to look over before class starts next month! :) ....Never forget the website for your actual book too!!!!!!

Hey guys! Well, I am kinda nervous. Tommorrow is my final lecture exam and boy am I super nervous. I am trying to get an A in the class and right now my average is an 89% B+. This is a breakdown of my grades:

Lec 1: 79% (really affected me)

Lab 1: 48/55

Lec 2: 87%

Lab 2: 40/55

Lec 3: 91%

Lab 3: 43/55

Lec 4: 99% (Yeah!!!:) :coollook: )

Lab 4: ????? (Don't know yet)

Lec 5: Tommorrow! I hope I do well!!!!! It has been a very tough semester. I hope I come out alive tommorrow. LOL. I know all you must feel the pressure as well. I hope you all do well on your finals!!!:) :)

Edited to say that Lecture exams are 75% of the grade and Labs are only 25% because in my school, Lecture is 3 credit hours and Lab is only 1 credit hour. NO FAIR!!!:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :stone
