You need to pull yourself together and turn this around. You have much time invested in this class and money, please don't throw this away! You should speak to your instructor and find out where you stand. If you have an exam on Monday I hope that you have been studying. You can do it!

I am totally, totally depressed about the final I had yesterday. We had 150 questions and I felt like I was guessing every second question. I feel like a complete idiot and am thinking of not showing up for my lab final on Monday. I am embarassed and can't even think of looking at my professor since I am sure I got 50% or less on it. I am so disappointed in myself and have spent the last 2 days crying. I can't believe I let myself down this bad.

I might change my major after all

LKG6: I don't watch much TV anyway. I've actually been watching American Idol this season, but no ER stuff. (I used to watch Discovery Health Channel a bunch. I like the real story stuff. lol

Thanks girls... I am still very much depressed about it but have managed to study the whole day today. Just ocassionally I will think of it and think of giving up on the lab test, but what gives me hope is that I generally do well in lab, or have so far. I have been preparing for this lab for 2 weeks now. I don't know, I'll see what happens. The final grades should be up on Friday, May 6th so then I'll know if I am continuing or not

If nursing is what you really want to do, and you don't make the grade you want in A&P 1, repeat it!

Some of the best nurses have taken the NCLEX many times before they passed. Don't let anything get in the way of your dream, and what you know you can do well.

Hang in there. ((hugs))

Stick with it and take the lab exam. If you have to repeat the class, you will, if you really want this. I know it has got to hurt to get this far and then feel like this...but its almost over and you can finish this up! Fun2Care is right...some of the best nurses have to repeat things a few times.

Hey Nursestudent in 05,

Don't give up if nursing is your dream!

Lots of people have to repeat anatomy (out of my lab of twenty, there were seven of us left by the end of the semester). Take advantage of the fact that you have had exposure to all of the material.Go through your exams and your final and see which areas you need to study extra hard the next time you take it.You may want to consider recording the lectures, along with taking notes, too.Also, making flash cards is a great way to learn. Anatomy really is cumulative, so don't give up.

My problem area is algebra. I am so bad at it, I have to take each course twice just to "get" it. The last time I attempted Intermediate algebra, my instructor asked me to leave the class, I was doing so badly, lol. I decided to go back and take the class before it, then attempt intermediate again. Up until this point, I was getting As, but now things are starting to slide. If I pass with a C, I will be ecstatic. If I don't pass, I'll take it one more time.

I look at it this way-both of my parents had to be excused from their college math courses due to discalculia (diagnosed by professionals).I was told in the sixth grade that I would never get past fractions, let alone be able to do algebra. Well, I've made it almost all the way through intermediate algebra, and I can do fractions in my sleep, lol. It's a lot of hard work. I probably study three times longer than most folks. But it'll be WORTH IT when I eventually reach my goal:)

And remember, you are probably stressed out right now because it's the end of the semester. Get a little rest before you make any permanent decisions:)

How's it going girls?

I am really struggling with the endocrine system..it's not that I don't know the information because I could tell you everything and I got all 300 of my flashcards right...but for some reason it doesn't feel like it's " sinking in" the way everything else did. Maybe it's the end of the semester rut...but everytime I pick up my book I'm like " oh yeah" as if I just forgot it.

I think it has to do that I have 3 tests for this dang class in the next 2 1/2 weeks. I know where all the muscles are ( for lab test) ..now I just have to get the functions down.

UGH I wish this was OVER!

Well, I think I made a good decision to go to the lab final today. It was pretty simple and I think I did good on it.

I pulled a B in psychology which was good since I had a C the whole time, but got 99% on the final lol

My semester is over!!!!!! Feels soooo good :)

We have had 2 lecture exams and 2 lab exams so far. My grades have really been hurting. I was until this semester a 4.0 GPA student. I have an Ill son who requires lots of care which sometimes keeps me from studying. I got a 80 and 82 in the lectures and in lab a 12.5/15 and 23/30. Needless to say to drop the class I would have to do so by tomorrow. SHOULD I? Requirements are at least a B in A&P1 or Sci25 (physics and chem mix). I am so upset and down on myself. We do have 2 lecture exams left and 2 labs. Then the cumulative final of 100 multiple choice questions. 1 of our lecture exams are bring home. What would you do??? Any info is appreciated. BoonersMom: I feel for you! I know you started later than we did, but I couldn't imagine another two weeks of this! :uhoh3: As for stuff "sinking in" I really thought that about pumps, leaks and channels, now the CNS, PNS, & ANS doesn't seem so crazy. I just feel rushed, and ready to get it overwith.

Soon, we will all have Spring 2005 over with!!
