4.0 Challenge!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone! I'm a pre-Nursing student with two semesters of pre-reqs to do before I can apply to the Nursing Program at my University. Who wants to start a support thread and help motivate each other? We can list our classes for the fall and report back with updates/venting/encouraging as needed. I'll start:

A&P I with Lab

Fundamentals of Organic & Biochem with Lab

Nursing 110 (a survey introductory course at my school serving as an overview of Nursing)

Sociology 105

I'd love to hear what everyone is taking! Good luck, you can do this!

:specs::)

Specializes in Psychiatry.

Good luck Carley! I am also taking Micro and World Religions.

Is anyone else taking the majority of their classes online? My only "in person" class is micro. Psych, Eng and Nutrition are online. So I'll definitely need some serious time management. My plan is to study the online classes when the regular classes are in session. For example my nutrition class is taught Mon/Wed 830-945 so that's when I'll study it online.

BUT I'm going to try and knock a couple of my online classes out early. Like I'm really strong in English (probably should've CLEPed out) so maybe I can write all the essays in the first week or two and be done with it. Has anyone tried that?

Micro is the only one I'm taking on campus too... That and an LNA course. A&p2 and math will be online.

I'm surprised and maybe a little confused how they can have a class like A&P II (or even A&P I) online. I guess it's just the lecture and not the lab?

I did micro online and A & P 2 online. Just the lectures were online, my labs were all in person, on campus.

I've also heard of online labs where they send kits to your house including dissections! That would be interesting

My a&p2 lab is online. I think they said it was interactive... I guess I'll find out!

Hi everyone! For the fall semester I'm taking:

Anatomy w/ the lab

Physiology w/ the lab

Medical terminology

Abnormal psychology

I'm going to graduating next fall with my BA in psych. Next fall I will also be sending out my accelerated BSN applications! :) I'm definitely nervous about this upcoming semester. Not so much about the material itself, but more so about being able to remember everything for both anatomy and physiology. But I've maintained a 4.0 for the last 2 semesters (as well as this summer session) so I know I can do it if I work hard, which I will :) I know we can all do it!

And great idea to start a support thread! :)

took a&p 1 and 2, nutrition, and statistics over the summer- got the 4.0!

Next challenge- Micro w/lab, pathophysiology, human growth & development, current topics in healthcare. I'm in!

Good luck everyone!

Hello! I'm taking A&P1, microbiology, statistics, and world literature. I plan on applying to widener BSN program and Aria health RN diploma; btw they have a partnership with penn state BSN program which is great since a lot of hospitals in PA is going into magnet status. My goal is to apply at the end of my fall semester. Good luck everyone!
