Hello everyone! I'm a pre-Nursing student with two semesters of pre-reqs to do before I can apply to the Nursing Program at my University. Who wants to start a support thread and help motivate each other? We can list our classes for the fall and report back with updates/venting/encouraging as needed. I'll start:
A&P I with Lab
Fundamentals of Organic & Biochem with Lab
Nursing 110 (a survey introductory course at my school serving as an overview of Nursing)
Sociology 105
I'd love to hear what everyone is taking! Good luck, you can do this!
:)
I just wanted to let everyone know a 4.0 is very possible. I've maintained a 4.0 GPA over the last two years while completing my pre-reqs. I was very blessed to accomplish this. I'm just waiting to see which school accepted me for their nursing program while I take pathophysiology. I am a wife, mother of two, one of which has went through cancer treatment.
Yeah..let me add mine..I have been keeping my 4.0 since this last spring and have taken some of the hard classes. Such as A&p 1 and 2 and statistics. This fall I am taking micro, , nutrition, chemistry, intro to world religion and abnormal psychology before I apply to widener for summer 2014...so by next spring, I have no more hard classes to take than history, , music and any electives..then there goes my associate in applied science..ahah..it is not even close to 2 years..
Yes, this is a great idea. Getting a 4.0 will be a challenge but I'm sure we all can do it! I This is the last semester of pre-reqs that will go on my transcript before I apply to nursing school at my university. I'm taking:KINS 2531/2511 -- A&P I/Lab
CHFD 2137 -- Lifespan Development
ECON 2105 -- Economics
HIST 1112 -- World History
**And to make it MORE of a challenge, I just found out that ALL of my professors are foreign--and ALL with a very strong accent. Two from China, one from The Ukraine, and one from Bangladesh. Oh boy .. this is about to be a tough semester. I definitely have to kick into high gear now.
I am only taking A&P I w/ Lab this semester. Next semester A&P II w/ Lab and probably Microbiology w/ Lab, unless I can take it in the summer, which I doubt. I don't need to take chem or math, but I am thinking of taking a chem and a math class just to refresh my memory before taking the TEAS. That is what I am stressing over already. :-\
I already have a Bachelor's in English (BA), and that was...nearly 7 years ago. Wish I wouldn't have taken so long to decide on a career change. English was my first love, but it's unfortunately true that it doesn't give you a lot of career options.
