I'm glad to hear that some of you all are surviving (and excelling) in micro!

I may go slow but at least I get A's in the prerequisites on the first try! Next spring will be my time to apply to nursing school :uhoh3:

You are doing very well considering all the other classes that you are taking!

Yay! I did my first Gram Stain friday in lab. I was happy my professpr saved mine to use as an example. I wasnt for sure how well I would like this class. However it has turned out to be most interesting. Its actually been somewhat fun hmp lets not get started on dimensional analysis of pharmacodynamics lol. Since Im new here I might wanna give up some info eh. I am a 25 years old mother of a 2 year old son. I have been a LPN for the past 6 years ( this september) Worked the ER for a few and for WV State of Corrections, I ended up with pre eclampsia during my pregnancy and quit the er. I have been with the State of Corrections now for a little over 4 years. I am currently going to UC ( University of Charleston ) for the one year transistion program to RN.

Somebody tell me everything's going to be all right. :uhoh21:

I got my latest micro test back today and... scored an 88. So far, my class average is 85.

I came into this class feeling like I really needed an "A" so that I wouldn't further drag down my cumulative 3.7 gpa. If my gpa slides downwards to a 3.5, am I still going to get into nursing school??

Sigh.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't doing as well as you'd like. Have you talked to your instructor for advice?

About getting into nursing school, it really would depend on how competitive it is where you are.

Thanks for the sympathy. :lol2:

Well, after my little pity party, I projected my potential final grade, if I start doing slightly better on the quizzes and continue to do slightly better (i.e.: two extra points per test) on the tests, and I discover I can still make an A or at least an A- for the course.

So, I guess the moral is: study. Study some more. Study again.

AAAAaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh.....we have a test coming up on Tuesday mainly about viral and bacterial infections. Name, characteristics etc.....tons of them!!!!!! Now it's almost as bad as being in A&P....MEMORIZATION!

Just have to vent it's driving me crazy...staphylococcus this, streptococcus that, you get the picture :o

Enuff already!!!!!!! :o  :bluecry1: :smackingf
