And no, we mustn't forget about the proud twin cousins, Syphilus (See Phylus) and Gonorrhea (Gon-OR-ree-UH).

When I was pregnant 3 years ago, I would read this thread. I actually threatened to tear my hair out if I heard about the Jello twins one more time - alas, they show up on every page or two. I told people here on AN that I couldn't decide the name of our baby girl, the names in the running for her were Fe-mal-e (of course, she was a girl after all), Lemonjello and Oranjello. Someone actually sent me a PM asking if I was really going to do this.
Rest assured, our baby girl (almost 3 year old!!!) has a pretty, normal name, not based on urban legend.

You won't believe this one, but . . . my microbiology professor swears it is true. He was doing a research project on newborns, and some were so young they had no name yet. The arm band had "Female" and the last name. After a couple of weeks, one of the kids still had no name, or so he thought. The nurse working with the child explained that the parent like the name on the arm band, and named the little girl "Felmalie" pronounced Fe-may-lie!

My wife just told me about a young kid named Myster. His original name had been "Mr." but a judge forced the parents to change the spelling.
The child had two brothers named.....Te'Kevin and Tenacious.

My mother in law is a first grade teacher, and she always gets a lot of...interestingly named students.

Myking, HerMajesty, Hiskingdom, Sparkles, Peaches, Glitter, Vodka, Sterling (middle name Silver)... It's like these people just pick the last thing they see or think about before they pop the baby out and go with it. And then there's always the people that name their baby Baby Girl or Baby Boy... Did ya just not have time to look through a baby name book?!

While working in a children's hospital I had young parents....the dad had a tattoo of a pot leaf on his arm, mom had one on her thigh.....so it comes as no surprise that the baby was named "Mary Juana"! I kid you not!:rckn:

One of my friends said last night that when she was having one of her six kids, there was a couple on the floor who were really into motorcycling and named their daughter Kickstart with a conventional middle name. She didn't know what they were planning to actually call her.
