Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

It's so funny. We have a five minute huddle before each shift. You can definitely tell who is leaving and coming by hair and make up

Lotsa new peeps here trying to decide.. be like NIKE...JUST DO IT!!!.. I am on my last week of Health assessment and will take a week off between the next class because I GOT A NEW JOB.. whoo hoo! anyways still get to work with my pediatric population and the new hospital is closer to home. Oh man, it's been a while since I was here. I am in Community and I am worried about W5 assignments. They are, in fact (it is three assignments for one week), confusing. If anyone here can explain Week 5 assignments to me, much appreciated. So the first one "community Teaching Experience" by itself is for 100 points? a teacher already said on the forum that Powerpoint or pamphlete is not mandatory, but just want to verify this.

How did you prepare this community teaching papers? have you actually gone out for teaching? :-(

I just looked at my old stuff, this is how I did it:

Assgn 1: Work Plan Proposal. That's that giant document with all the questions and boxes. Pick your topic, fill in that enormous document, show it to someone (CH/PH provider), get their feedback.

Assgn 2: Choose a location for your presentation. Seek approval from the agency administrator or representative, have them sign that form (permission slip kind of thing), and submit the "Community Teaching Experience Form" to the college Office of Field Experience @ GCU. Then, based on Assgn #1, create and GIVE your presentation to your selected victims:

  1. PowerPoint presentation – no more than 30 minutes
  2. Pamphlet presentation – 1 to 2 pages
  3. Poster presentation

Assgn 3: Write a 1500-2000 word Teaching Experience Paper summarizing all of the above, and how it went.

Yes, it was the worst/busiest week ever so far in this program... :dead:

Oh my God!! PrismRN! Thank you very much! Your well-explanation made me totally understand this assignments. I know I now better to start it right away.. I think your assignment description is great and should be substituded for the current one in LoudCloud.
