Loma Linda RN Residency LLUCH - September 2017

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello Everyone!

Chances are that if you are reading this, you've recently applied to the RN Residency program at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. In the weeks to come, we can keep each other in the loop regarding the application process and hopefully get to know one another as future members of the September 2017 cohort.

I'm praying for a clear path for all of us~

Glad you posted this. I applied to the Total Care Birth Center. Do you happen to know if they just hire for postpartum for this residency or also L&D? I also interviewed for the adult hospital, but I really want TCBC. I'm just scared that I will miss out on a job if I wait for this whole thing to pan out, or that I won't get into what I really want by not waiting long enough and accepting a position into a different unit.

May 22nd is so long to wait to see if we will even get an interview...

I also have similar concerns about the timeline for applying for this residency program and potentially passing on other opportunities in order to pursue a dream job. As for your questions, I don't know the answers but I've emailed the RN Residency Administrative Assistant (Veronica Castaneda) and she was very knowledgeable. Her contact info is listed on the LLUCH RN Residency website (I don't think posting her contact email is allowed here).

Best of luck to you!

Hello Everyone! I recently applied for the PICU. Good luck to everyone.:)

I applied to the TCBC!

I applied to peds cardiac! Good luck guys:)

I'm praying for a position in NICU. :dummy: This is my first time applying to the RN Residency program at LLUCH. Would anyone know if they only have 1 position available per unit/department? Praying for all of us! :banhappy:

No, I am an internal applicant who worked there for a year as a PCA as well as did my practicum on PICU as I attended school at LLU. They usually take multiple people per unit.

I applied to PICU as well :)

Just spoke to the recruiter and she said her deadline to have applications to the hiring managers is May 22nd just so you all know!

I logged into my application today and saw that my application status was highlighted in yellow and it says above "application status changes displayed in yellow"- no clue what that means.

I just checked my application status and it is also yellow and now has two graduate nurse applications one with the original date and the other with a different date. I think this means they are working on them. : )
