  1. I interviewed with St Joseph Orange, so the questions may be different.. but when I was interviewed they railed me with 'tell me about a time when...' questions and then some questions such as, 'why this hospital', 'what are 3 things you bring to the table' and 'tell me about yourself'.... Good luck, hopefully this will help in some way!! ?
  2. Mine hasn't... which has me worried, but I'm trying not to accept my fate until people start receiving phone offers.
  3. My first 'in person' interview questions were all "Tell me about a time you..." type of questions and if I was open to being considered for other units. The second interview with the group of other candidates was basically the Nurse Manager explaining their unit/program, and then everyone going around the 'room' and saying if they had a preceptorship in that particular area and then 3 things you would bring to the unit. After we all spoke, it was open for us to ask the manager questions (since there were so many, we were only really able to ask one question per person)!
  4. Some context: I applied to L&D and MotherBaby, so the nurse managers work closely with one another.. So during my interview the MotherBaby Nurse Manager said there were only 2 spots for MotherBaby and 2 spots for l&d! .. IDK about the numbers for other units, I know float pool was emailing people because they didn't have enough people chose it as a 1st choice
  5. I'm sorry to hear about that ? but I could not agree more with you.. The two units I interviewed for had 2 spots for each unit (so a total of 4).. and there were 14 of us competing for my 1st choice interview ... ugghhhh IDK how they will even base their selections at this point smh
  6. I was actually shocked at how many people were STILL competing.. I heard that they go based off of scores during your first interview, which is questionable because now I don't really understand the purpose of this interview we just had?.. To just see our faces?.. Because I feel there was no way we could have 'improved' our chances during this interview because we weren't able to really shine ?
  7. Hello! I received a job offer from a pediatric rehabilitation hospital. I would be hired into their acute units and cross trained into their sub-acute units. Being a new grad, I am a little weary of taking this job because I don't know if this counts as "acute care" experience as these patients are not here for long-term care (like a SNF). I also am worried about the possibility of this job will affecting my ability to obtaining a Hospital job in the future... So I would love input .. TIA!

  10. Did anyone who interviewed today (October 13th) with St Joseph receive an email for the next round of interviews yet??
  11. I was sent an email that only had the option to chose from 8:00-8:30am, 8:30-9:00am etc etc up until 3:30pm only an October 13th date.. I do believe that they are sending out New Grad interviews first because its such a beast (way to many new grads LOL!)
  12. My interview is Oct 13th ! .. and the job description for the TIPs says the same as what the fellowship job descrip. says: "Interviews for our Januay Cohort are scheduled or mid-Octber and November" ?

  14. Does anyone have experience interviewing with St Jos in Orange? I read in my email that there will be a case study scenario?? Not too sure how to prepare for this ?
  15. My orange county app changed to 'We are reviewing your application' on September 17th.. but has not changed since... my other apps say basically the same thing in terms of being 'under review' (I applied to all locations being offered!)
