Loma Linda RN Residency LLUCH - September 2017

Published

Hello Everyone!

Chances are that if you are reading this, you've recently applied to the RN Residency program at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. In the weeks to come, we can keep each other in the loop regarding the application process and hopefully get to know one another as future members of the September 2017 cohort.

I'm praying for a clear path for all of us~

I applied to pediatrics as well and I still haven't heard anything. My application status changed on 5/09 as a "new application" and has been there since. Still hopeful as there is still time according to their timeline!

I applied for the Cardio-thoracic ICU residency program and was blessed to be called in for an interview for Step-down ICU...they will be making their decision by next week. Good luck everyone. Interview was full of scenarios.

I did not get accepted to PICU unfortunately. It seems like they're really picky about who they are selecting for interviewsand job offers. I was an internal applicant who did my practicum on PICU and despite an interview, did not get the position. Best of luck to everyone else that is applying, I know that job searching right now is difficult as a new grad.

do you know if they are pretty much done calling people for interviews at this point?

I received a call yesterday asking me to come in for an interview on acute pediatrics. However, this interview is for an alternate as they have already interviewed and chosen their candidates. It sounds like most units have made their final selections.

I was disappointed to learn my BSN- in-progress status was not sufficient to secure even an interview for NICU. I do wish all of you the best! I have already accepted another position and I am excited to start in the ICU. Best of luck to everyone here!

I also didn't get an interview regardless of >500 hours volunteered at a birth center, external fetal monitoring course, BSN in-progress, etc. I did secure a position elsewhere as well and I'm where I need to be. Keep your hopes up. If this didn't open up for you, another door is waiting. Best of luck to those of you who were interviewed!

I've been a non-medical employee for LLUMC for 7 years and just received my BSN and have over 300 hours volunteering in a NICU and did not even receive an interview :/ not sure what they are looking for. However, congratulations to those of you who did receive interviews and positions!
