  1. Hoping to also find some updates here for anyone planning to apply for the fellowship! Interviewed here for their PICU new grad two years ago, didn't get it and have been working elsewhere in the meantime. Figure it was time to try again with some acute care experience and hopefully get into something new!
  2. I graduated May 2017 in California and passed NCLEX in July. I thought I was going to get a job by the end of the year, but unfortunately have had no luck. I was a little confident since I received multiple interviews shortly after graduating, but none of those worked out, and am now not receiving any. I've been feeling extremely hopeless and have been applying to practically anything I can find. I feel like this season's new grad programs are closing and I'm losing my chance with new grad programs. Other nursing positions that dont require experience seem limited so I feel like I'm out of options. Its very discouraging to see classmates and friends around me getting jobs; I feel like we're all on the same playing field. I dont want it to reach the one year mark of post grad and still be unemployed. I feel like a disgrace and disappointment. Any words of encouragement or advice?
  3. @sewells09 thanks for the info. did they tell you they would still be making calls? heres the link to the other davis thread. https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/uc-davis-new-1135757.html according to that, it seems like alot of calls have been made and someone believes all the calls have been made already.
  4. :/ didn't get an email. When is the interview? And do you think that email offer is unit specific or for all of them?
  5. I wanted to send you a PM but wasn't sure if you would be able to get it due to you not having posted enough yet, but what do you mean the hiring process is based on resume? I applied to their PICU twice already and was rejected both times. Do you have any previous experience or are you fresh new grad too? Was there any specific posting you applied to or was it just their regular positions? (I was told to apply to regular positions because if hired, I would automatically be placed into the bottom of their rank/hierarchy)
  6. I never heard from PICU for interview. Didn't know they already held them. unless @newgrad2017 meant official offer for interview.
  7. What unit will you be on at Valley? I've applied to them many times as a new grad for their regular positions and never had luck.
  8. When is your interview scheduled for? Do you think they're still reaching out to more people?
  9. When is your interview?
  10. Congrats and good luck! I've been applying to UCSD everytime they have something and I never hear from them :/ What kind of questions did they ask you on the phone?
  11. Couldn't find if there was a thread for this already. Has anybody had any updates yet for the Feb/April 2018 cohort? Application period was Nov 8-15
  12. @pinkuu was your mini phone interview scheduled or was it they called you and started asking you questions on the spot?
  13. Anybody apply for med/onc pcu? any word?
