    I love being a Christian Nurse. I know there are many people out there that do not share my beliefs but, I care for them the same as I would someone who shared my beliefs. I did not become a Nurse to take care of people who believe the same as I do, I did it because I want to help people heal and make a difference in their healing process.

    Why not title your post "I love being a nurse"?

    By bringing your religion in to it you just know where the thread will head right?

    I love being an agnostic nurse, too. And I'm sure we have members here (and colleagues wherever we all work) who love being atheist nurses, Wiccan nurses, Muslim nurses, Jewish nurses, Buddhist nurses, Taoist nurses, etc., etc., etc. ...

    I agree, I love being an atheist nurse. What's the point? I hope our patients would be getting the same quality, excellent care. This post wreaks of flame-bait.

    Ouch. When the flames come your way, OP, remember it isn't because you're a Christian, it's because you made a distinction that will offend from the get-go.

    But it's too easy to flame this one....I'll save my fireballs for the truly obnoxious, rather than the bait-setters.

    OP you will be getting flamed, just wanted to warn you. However, I guess I'm going to get flammed too because I LOVE being a christian nurse as well. I don't push my beliefs on my patients. I simply enjoy promoting healing in my patients. Every day I pray for my patients and myself. I pray that God works through me to provide competent and quality care to them.

    I guess I don't see the problem with the OP? People have different religions and it's ok to talk about it and how that religion/spirituality/worldview informs their nursing practice. Why not just take the post at face value instead of reading in to it? She's a Christian, and a nurse, and takes care of patients regardless of their creed, and loves what she does.

    OP, maybe you can make your point clearer by describing what you love about being a Christian nurse.

    That's nice that you take care of all people equally, but that doesn't seem to have to do with your topic heading.

    Perhaps those of you who enjoy being an atheist nurse, or Wiccan nurse, or Muslim nurse, or Jewish nurse, or Buddhist nurse, or Taoist nurse can start another thread rather than criticizing the title that the OP has chosen for the thread she started about the topic she wishes to discuss.
