As some may know this is the Holy Month Of Ramadan. Curious how you all are managing.

My son is a fairly recent convert to Islam. It's been a learning experience!

MashaAllah that's wonderful!
I wanted to say too, I'm a convert myself and I think it's great that you are making the effort to learn! I'm married now and his family has welcomed me with open arms, but it was quite lonely for a while, despite my family being somewhat accepting after the have-you-lost-your-mind-how-does-a-female-choose-that (misguided) concern wore off 😆
I am not a religious person due to experiences I have had in life. Had some concerns when he first told me. Picked up a copy of the Koran and started reading. His dad is a bit more skeptical . I had a very strict and controlling childhood. We kids were forbidden to experience much and I have always tried to support my son in his interests and endevours. He is now an adult and we have traveled together and are planning a big adventure in a few years.

Routine fasting is a Christian spiritual exercise as well, FYI. Usually having to do with food but not necessarily. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are the most common days of fasting but some folks fast several times a week just as a normal part of their spiritual life, separate from a diet, of course.
