Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

No it's not. Yes i availed because that's now mandatory if you'll be at IHNA Mel. Email IHNA and let them know you could not log in. that happened to me as well. Yes I got those emails as well.

Yes, in the philippines Because my husband and son are there. My relatives want me to exit in NZ but i refused, One thing more, i already booked a return ticket. I can always come back here and go home every three months since my visa is multiple entry.. And il come back probably when my registration is released. Simply because you cant hunt for a job without it so its useless if you'll just wait here and do nothing.. And about your second question, well, maybe just take these things one at a time.. I cant answer that now since i am still on our placement.. I subscribed to job alerts for pacu nurses and there are lots of job openings in diff hospitals and diff cities. Im just not sure if they do sponsor the 457. You know what, there are lots of posts in here that seems discouraging at times.. U just have to believe with what you can do and pray that everything will turn out the way it should be.. Just pray.. God knows your desires. Godbless!

Yes, thats true. I just had to comment on this one. There are really a lot of discouraging posts here, just dont mind them. Yes, some may have been unfortunate but chances are, you wouldn't end up the same. Theres only one way to know if you can make it, and that is to try for yourself. So just keep on believing and pray. ;)

So true. We've done steps one, two and three already....If I didn't push through with this and further along the road of life, I might just keep on wondering what would be life if I did take the risk.

It's a document coming from your GP. Ask them, they know that for sure.

Thanks.

Hi! Anyone here already received their offer letter for May Intake in College of Nursing? How does College of Nursing send their offer of Acceptance? Is it by post or by email? Your response is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi enilocin, i would just like to ask where have you done your tst and how much it is. CON has a requirement of completing the immunizations before application right? I completed mine but i still havent done the TST....

Right. It doesn't mean that what happened to them will happen to you as well. :)

hey everyone, just want to ask how many days before your 456 visa reached the embassy after the courier service picked it up. mine was picked up on saturday last week and up to now, the call center said that it is on a screening area. is this really their procedure?

Hi enilocin, i would just like to ask where have you done your tst and how much it is. CON has a requirement of completing the immunizations before application right? I completed mine but i still havent done the TST....

A pulmonologist whose clinic is in a tertiary hospital signed my medical certificate for the tst and it cost approximately 750 pesos. You need to have immunizations like dpta, mmr, varicella, hepa b and influenza when you apply. You also include hepa b titer as a requirement. If ever you became positive in your tst, you can pass an xray result.

Thanks!

Hi how about your health insurance. Is it required before applying for the 456 visa? Did you avail the BUpa health insurance that was emailed by ihna or opted for other insurance company? Maybe others are cheaper. I just got my account details for elearning but i cannot log in yet.. I dont know why. Did you also get the clinical pre requisites email? Like the criminal record, code of conduct, immunization form etc..? I already paid for the afp clearance check. Thank you!

hi roseanne1013, whats afp clearance check? i am also for ihna, june intake but i have not heard of such requirement? thanks in advance.

And thats true as well, the hospital where im doing my placement now offers visa sponsorship
