Just curious what field everybody went into after graduation? I am a FNP and work in physical medicine which is sort of like integrative medicine. I'm interested in pursuing forensic nursing or alternative medicine for the future. However, I'm beginning to miss family practice. I'm torn.

So what area do you specialize in? What was your degree in?

I am currently trying to make this decision for myself. I am applying to schools for a BSN-DNP, and so far I have applied for Family Psych Mental Health NP..... I would like to work in Assisted Reproduction. My partner and I are having our third child with the help of a fantastic clinic in New Delhi, India and going through the process, the Medical Director asked me if I would be interested in sort-of a case management opportunity, so we are working out the details now. But ultimately, I'd like to open my own practice, in the US, most of the agencies are run by Attorneys, former surrogate mothers or former intended parents. There must be one or two run by a nurse or someone in psychiatry in one capacity or another. Will it happen, i'm still waiting to hear from schools if Ive been accepted or not, so, we will see...

I did think about going for Woman's Health DNP, but I did not receive much feedback on work environment, nor gender issues (im male,) and I know a good number of men work in OBGYN, but all the same, I have heard little feedback.

Also, if I do not obtain my MSN by 2015, I must get my DNP, and unless I grow another halve to my brain, I doubt I can do that.
